Holy guacamoli...my feet hurt! Our daughter in law opened a coffee cafe today so I went up at 6:30 this morning to help her get things ready to open. I fed my little crew before leaving and am I ever glad I did! I thought I'd be gone for an hour or so but people started coming in before she was officially opened...not complaining though :) She got hit hard and business was steady all day long so I just hung around and helped her out. So, for the next 8 hours I cleaned, did dishes, cooked a few things, cleaned some more, helped rearrange machines and things in her line to make the flow go better and just did whatever needed done while she waited on customers and made all those fancy coffees. I enjoyed myself and I hope she does well but... I am tired and my feet hurt...I think I'm going to sleep well tonight! :dogzzz: |
Just thinking about it makes my feet hurt, too.:D I am glad, though, that her new business did so well for the first day. That's a very good sign. |
You're a good mother in law!! I'm glad to hear that she was so successful!! Wishing her continued success!! Get a good night's rest!! |
Sorry your feet hurt, but sounds like a very successful day.....yeah!!! |
Isn't it great to see kids do well!!!......... and what a lovely Mother in Law you are!.... maybe a pedicure would be a nice treat for both of you! |
Thank you girls...I try to be a good MIL :) and I really do want her to succeed. Our son is a very hard worker and I think her cafe is a great way for her to be able to do something she enjoys, contribute to the house hold at the same time and also be there for their kids...I can lend a hand if and when I am needed so that gives them a little flexibility. I believe you should do what you can to insure your kids have it even better than you do so each generation makes this a better place to live and if I can do little things to help them along then I'll gladly do them. Oh...and...I slept really well last night! |
