It's a California thing too....cause I was born and raised here and loved them since I was a kid.

My mentor thinks I'm nuts....cause any given show weekend we hit Super WalMart and head for the deli section....they've always got Gizzards and Livers there....and it's the first thing I buy.....can't shop without having a bag.

Perhaps, but I bet you could castrate a bull without even blinking! You can keep the Gizzards! Are the yin big demand at Super WMT?

Now those are Mountain Osters......that is something I will not even think about.

Yes, I have castrated those lil bulls......and yes, the Mountain Osters were fried up.

Now how did we get on this subject?????

I grew on on fried okra and I love, love, love it. You can have the gizzards and livers.:D

Oh and I could not believe you had never had chicken fried steak. I made it because I figured that being that you lived in Texas, it was a safe bet that you would like it. I can't believe you waited til AFTER you ate it to tell me you never had it before. I don't make too much fried foods. I did thatr for you cause it was a TEXAS thing!! lol... now I will fight you for the chicken livers and gizzards!! Steve can have the Mt Oysters.. lol

Now, I'm really getting hungry for some of this food. I'd like to have cucumbers and tomatoes fresh from the garden, too.:D

No, I had never had Chicken Fried Steak.......but, I will say yours was delicious.

Fresh Tomatoes are wonderful, but could never grow them in the garden, had to grow them in pots in the patio. The Texas Sun was just too hot and would crack them.

Fried Pickles are great.....and I have tasted Fried Alligator....if cooked correctly there is no salty taste and it does taste like Fried Chicken.
