YT withdrawals!
 
Due to the snow storm in Chicago we have been without TV and internet since Tuesday evening. Stuck in the house with no YT was horrible!! It just came back on. It was kind of scary being stuck in (streets were impassable) with 4 dogs. Nikki was sick Tuesday night diarrhea and vomiting and I couldn't get out until today. I am taking him in at 2. He has a weird smell to him. I am hoping it is his anal gland and not his kidney's failing. So if you could please say a prayer for Nikki.

Patti Im sorry youve been without power. We had the ice so we were stuck in but luckily we didnt lose power. I will say prayers all day for Nikki. Update us when you get back from the vet

I can imagine how frustrating it was to be snowed in, especially with no access to the internet. It's amazing how much we have come to rely on the internet, not only for entertainment.

When I lived in the Chicago area (Park Ridge), I was thankful on really bad snow days that we had just about everything within walking distance.

I have only been really active on yt for about a month.. and yes I am hooked.

I hope your baby is ok... is there a history of kidney problems? I send prayers and good thoughts your way!!!

ps-- Remy had really bad breath and the vet said she had a impacted gland .. euuuwwww but all better now

I'm so sorry for little Nikki and will pray that it isn't serious. As for a power outage, well I've went through plenty of those in my life and know how draining it can be unless you have plenty of candles, board games and a gas stove where you can at least burn to stay warm and to cook. ;) Sure makes you appreciate the little things we take for granted in our daily lives.

Thanks! Thankfully we had power just no TV, Internet or land line phones. Nikki was found on the streets so we have no medical history on him. Last year all his blood work was fine so I am hoping it's not that. He has no teeth so it's not his breath. He did have an anal abscess a few months ago so I am thinking it may be related to anal glands.

Thanks. Nikki may have Protein losing Nephrology. I am waiting for a more detailed test to confirm it. He also has chronic renal disease. I am praying it isn't PLN but we will do whatever he needs.

Patti, hoping for the best for Nikki. I was worried about losing power as almost 100,000 people around the area did. Still cleaning up back here. The Snow Blower Repairman came today, and pit in the news parts, so now I can get back out there and finish! Tomorrow!

Sending Prayers for Nikki! Hope that it can be determined for sure what's going on with him so that he can feel better. I've seen the snow storms on the news & it's unbelievable. Hope you all stay warm & safe.
