that is WAYYYYY to invasive. why on earth does anyone need to know this stuff. i would throw it away if it were me. |
I think they are asking too many personal questions. You have to fill out the regular census form but I wonder if you are required to fill this one out. I've never heard of American Community Survey. |
I would write back to them and say I have a sprained hand and will need someone from their office to come out to help me fill this out...and to be sure they send them with Starbucks & Scones for snack time!:D |
From what I'm reading on line, they claim it is a long form from the Census Bureau and it is the law to fill it out or you can be fined. The people on line claim if you don't fill it out you will be harassed for about 90 days. Thirty days will be continuous phone calls and about 30 days of someone flashing a badge ..beating at your door and sitting in your drive way....... I'm getting the calls now......The on line people claim no one has ever been actually fined......IDK.... |
Wow! And according to one of the sections you are legally obligated to answer the questions! About the survey: About the American Community Survey Here is an informational copy of the form: http://www.census.gov/acs/www/Downlo...11/Quest11.pdf |
There is absolutely NO WAY I'd complete that survey. If it comes to my house I may need one of my YT Family members to bake a cake with a saw inside so I can escape from my cell. On the other hand, I could have some fun..... but I guess I'd still need the cake :D |

I think we start a new "game" thread - copy the survey and answer one of the questions -- of course NOT honestly :D :D :D I bet it would be pretty funny~ |
Well... on the other hand, this survey is a genealogist's dream. It will be open to the public in 72 years if it follows the pattern of recent census releases. I've learned all kinds of things about my ancestors from old censuses. Only problem is some of my ancestors tended to lie to the census takers or at least not be too accurate. It sounds like this survey is separate from the decennial census, though, and may be an ongoing thing throughout the years. |
That is way to personal! As if the government doesn't already know more than they should about us! |

and let Jack put the saw inside :mensmiley: I agree that census ?'ere is going way over board. |
