Martha Stewart spooked her French Bulldog Francesca and ended up having to have her lip stitched up:

I read about this somewhere last night. I've had my doggies accidentally head-butt me too (or in the nose, ow)...by accident. It can hurt, even with these little guys - but man, she has big dogs mostly! OUCH.

Ouch! Poor Martha! I have to watch Sapphire whenever I bend down to pick up something on the floor... if she's overly excited and thinking I want to play, she'll jump up and try to bite my nose!

I saw that on the news last night. Her lip was swollen and a plastic surgeon was stitching her up. Ouch!!

Calling the police for a ride? I would have thought the police had other work to do (like catching criminals) than to give a ride to the hospital for a cut lip. And having a plastic surgeon ready at the emergency room. That really seems like overkill.

Max gives loving nose bites. He does kiss, kiss, bite. :p After seeing this, I'm going to discourage him from doing it when he is jumping.

Seeing the pictures, I would want a plastic surgeon for that injury. Most ERs have one on call at all times for such things. She is probably still going to have a scar on a very prominent part of her face.

I laughed at the police thing too. Why the police? :p

From what they said in the paper, she leaned down to tell her bye and Frances (the french bulldog) was asleep and she startled her.

LOL, I thought they were great tips! :D Did you see the way they sewed it, that's was amazing! Having a plastic surgeon handy in ER would be ideal for a face injury. Not sure why the police escort, was she in New York? Maybe she called 911 and that's who they sent, it's probably faster than an ambulance in some cases. I'm just glad she wasn't blaming her dog, and took the blame herself.

My neighbor's daughter and her husband have a white French Bulldog that they bring with them when they come to visit from Texas. They are quite stout looking dogs.

I believe she was at her home in Bedford and was heading into Manhattan to beat the snow storm. Maybe Bedford or the snow are the reasons for the police rather than an ambulance.

When I saw pictures of Martha's French bulldog pups, I fell in love. But then I read up on them and decided to stick to terriers.

I always liked seeing her bring her dogsters on her show, she really treated them like babies :) and we don't know anyone else who does that. LOL :p

Classic Martha, the comment about the room decor border while she waited to numb! LOL

This is below slide 10 of the slide show in the link from Kristin. :p I thought that was so funny. As I was flipping through the slides I came across the border and was thinking, "What is that?" I should have known, Martha was critiquing.
