I am done being a nice guy!
 
Since Marge works, I decided to be a nnice guy and take it upon mtself to send out all the Christmas Cards to Family, Friends, etc while she was out of town. Today she asks me what box did I use. I said I have no idea, I found 3 boxes in the basement and used those. Well, turns out one of the boxes were business cards, thanking them for their business. Over 1/2 of the busines cards were used....so, some folks will be getting "Thanks for the Business" this Christmas, and I have no idea who will be getting them. She then asked if I even bothered to read the cards. Well, for the first time in my life I was speechless. She is in her office, and I have gone into hiding. Last time I send out the cards. See, try to do a nice deed!

Lol, I have a feeling your real friends will understand! Probably not your wife though. I still think we ought to get together and buy her some type of plaque!

That is exactly what I told her, that they will figure I sent them, and understand.

Next year when its card season you will both have a great laugh about it. At that point you should put a note in the cards that due to last years mishap Marge will be handling all things Christmas cards this year.

Btw it's the thought that counts remind her of that. I would go so far as to send her a "thanks for your business card" as well but then if she's still stewing it might boil over at that point. LOL So scratch that idea.

I don't know -- that sounds suspiciously like the husband who puts a red sock in with the white towels knowing that the resulting pink will give him a lifetime pass from doing laundry.

Same way I mowed the lawn once in a previous life. I thought all the wavy patterns were pretty...

That story made my night! (Sorry it was at your expense.) I agree with everyone else......those that know you and your wife will definitely no it was a "man thing" you did by accident.

Sending out the "Thank You for Your Business" cards might have your dear wifey wondering just what it is you do in your spare time that you need to be thanking people for their business! :lol tears!!!

Please come out of hiding. It was an honest mistake. At least, you made an effort. Look at it this way, the cards will probably make a lot of people laugh.

And you & your wife, will laugh about this one day. (I hope before Christmas, so she doesn't put coal in your stocking.)

Yeah, that! :mad: Ar least I only sent out 1/2 of them, so that would be around 20 lucky people! She is already calling me by my birth name, so things are starting to look up. Next year, she can make sure I have the right boxes, that is, if I ever pick-up a pen again.

I would settle for coal. I could use it to heat the garage when I will be living.

I thought it was a beautiful card. It was nice and festive, and the pics of your furbutts inside made it nice. I liked it regardless of what it said. :)

Well, she has calmed down, so almost back to normal. At least I leave soon to ride the truck for Toys for Tots today, so that will give it more time for the latest Steve mess up to blow over. Hey, at least they did not ban me for it! Have a great day.

No, I don't think your wife would really give you coal, or make you live in the garage. When the lucky people that receive the card, laugh about it, she will see the humor in it, too, and remember she is married to a good guy who tried to help her.
