Just saw this ET vid on youtube. I don't watch tv really, so I didn't see it till now.

Any other pirates fans? :D


btw, the volume was really low for me. Dont' know if its just me or not.

I'm a huge fan too, the releases are generally around my birthday, so my sons take me to see it. After the first one, I pretty much wrote a second installment, featuring his dad, but I guess their version was better. :rolleyes: Penelope Cruz is a perfect choice for a pirate lady! Of course I'm a Johnny Depp fan and his new movie with Angelina Jolie looks like a fun watch. I guess they were going to do it with Tom Cruise and Charlize Theron at one point, and I think Depp and Jolie could create magic.

Oh really? I hadn't heard that. It's interesting when you hear who was originally gonna do the part. I read on yahoo that the Jack Sparrow character was written with Hugh Jackman in mind. When they said Johnny, Disney said oh puhleeze, no way. LOL I think they are happy with the choice now. :rolleyes:

As far as the tourist, yes that does look like an interesting movie. So glad Tom Cruise didn't do it. His movies are so bad. :thumbdown

I like Hugh Jackman, and think he'd make a great pirate, but Johnny brings something to the role, that I doubt anyone could have envisioned. I think it's hard to do that type of humor without being corny, and Johnny can do it so well. He has more range than any actor I can think of. I'm not familiar with Rob Marshal, at first I thought you meant Penny Marshal's brother Rob Reiner! :p

I guess that's why they went with Penelope, bc she's worked with Marshal on Nine, and she's worked with Johnny on Blow. I agree, I love Chicago.

Lol, okay, I could accept the fact that teenyboppers loved him, but a mature woman such as yourself? Please share what it is about him that you find so succulent, is he good with dogs? :D Oh by the way, congrats on your impending wedding!

I read that too! I guess the Tourist was supposed to be a comedy, but no one got it. I was listening to news radio and they were talking about the GG nominations, and that most of the time the people in charge of the GG give the nominations to their friends or people they want at the awards show. So that's why sometimes when you hear the noms, your like, really?

On another note, here's the new trailer for Rango. The lizard is so cute. What do you think of the trailer though? I think it's kind of corny, like it's meant for kids.

My *current* hubby and I have a mutual agreement. When (not if) Orlando whisks me away, he's agreed to bow out with humility and not harbor any hard feelings. And I have agreed to do the same when Katherine Zeta-Jones comes for him.

WOW! I SO love the Pirates movies! I heard rumor of a fourth movie to the series. But, I thought it just that. Rumor! Thanks for confirming... Now, I can hardly wait!!! :happyboun

It's out May 2011, they are already done filming and in post now.

They are in talks about filming 5 and 6 back to back like how they did with 2 and 3. disney would be stupid not too, they make WAY too much money off of Johnny not to, plus all the merchandising... don't even ask me how much licensed Pirates stuff I have. :o
