From that statement, I'm guessing that the author was a molested child at one time, and he didn't find it to be that unpleasant. he was most likely a young teen when it happened and he did not mind it but knew that it was wrong.

It's possible he wrote it to try to come to grips with his own feelings.

He says that he never was molested and he also says that he never has molested anyone. I personally think he wrote it to make money, pure and simple greed.

Another disgusting incident. I am so tired of such horrible things being allowed in the name of "freedom of speech." So many seem to be more afraid of insulting any faction be it an illegal activity or not, than trompling the rights of millions of decent human beings! If we could only go back to the 50's in so many areas of culture. I know we had some problems back then, but fixing them should not have been such a knee jerk reaction that we are seeing something like this being allowed.

Huge kudos to the hundreds that wrote in immediately to get it stopped. If common decency can't prevail, at least we can still make things happen with the threat of closing our pocketbooks. Even though it is over for now, I am going to add my thoughts and send it to Amazon. I have used them so much over the years, especially at Christmas!! But I don't think I can order presents for my grandkids from a company that thought this was perfectly okay until people threatened not to buy from them. I don't want those kinds of thoughts in my mind when they are opening presents Christmas day!!!

I just read a few of the posts on the Boycott page on Facebook. It seems there are still several other similar books on Amazon. Since this was the only one complained about and nationally televised, it was the only one they bothered to remove. So, they are not changing policy -- just caving in to the almigthy dollar on this one book.

I got nauseous reading on the Facebook site, and don't want my name on the page at all due to all those posting in support of what is an abhorent act! I'll find another address on Amazon's page to complain to.

I won't be using Amazon again. I think I will try to do a better job of reviewing a company's practices before using them in the future. Who would even think this would be an acceptable act. I guess in my very naive mind, I just thought that sort of thing would be illegal to sell. Promoting child sexual abuse can't be right! I can't believe our laws can allow that. The next time an innocent child has his/her entire life ruined from some deviant's attack and they find any of these books around from Amazon, then they need to make Amazone a co-defendent when they take the abuser to court!!!

I doubt that he would tell the truth if he had been molested, and definitely not if he had molested anyone.. he is trying to deal with guilt.

If he were dealing with his guilt wouldn't he at least want to donate all his profit to some worthy organization? Sometimes the simplest explanation is the answer, and greed is often a motive. Amazon is taking it off not because of a policy change, but simple greed.

By the way, there is no doubt many of the survivors feel lots of guilt, but much of the guilt is because they did experience pleasure at the time, so he wants to increase their pleasure? Making this a "pleasurable experience" will not reduce the trauma to the survivors.

NO WAY!! Are you kidding me? I don't understand how this could be legal.

And as for the person who posted that the author is getting all this attention - good, I sure hope so! Sure hope law enforcement is keeping a real good eye on him!

If I boycotted every store who sold something I hated/disagreed with/ found disturbing....well, I would be making everything I ever needed in life and growing the materials myself. I will still buy from Amazon and I will continue to purchase products on my kindle.

For me, this is so much worse than just hating or disagreeing or finding something disturbing. For example, some music, I hate or find disturbing, but I'm not going to boycott a store because of it. This speaks to the very essence of who I am, and I believe we need to protect our children in every way we can from these predators who steal their innocence.

By the way, there are other stores that support Amazon, Target for example, I wonder if it would help to inform all these other stores how we feel about this?
