Frightened Surgery on Thursday..I has never come out of an anesthetic well. Always need morphine even for simple procedure. Very nervous and scared. Please keep in your thoughts. |
Good Luck. I am slow to wake up after being put to sleep. They can not use morphine because I am very sensitive to it and it stops my breathing. I often wake up with a headache and sometimes I throw up. I always make sure they know the problems. Make sure you talk to the anesthesiologist about your concerns. |
I will send special prayers your way. |
I am so sorry that you are not well i will pray that everything is ok..hugs to you |
Definitely let your surgeon and anesthesiologist know your previous history and concerns. It's always scary having surgery - I hope you find it easier this time. |
Thank you so much for support. Bright side of surgery is always better after! :) |

Hi Disney Hope all goes well with your surgery and that you are feeling better soon. Sending prayers your way! |
Hey Disney i am keeping you in my prayers and hoping for a speedy recovery  |
Get well soon Disney & hug those little bunnies for us :) |
I hope everything went well and you are comfortably recovering! :) |
Make sure you tell the anesthesiologist that you have difficulty coming out of it. They have an additional med they can give that will help. Since I discussed this with an anesthesiologist and get the extra to come to faster, it has been a great help! |
Hey! Well I feel a little foolish...I misunderstood my 'surgery.' It were actually an colonoscopy. They found some yucky things but I'm all better now! Sorry for over reacting. :o |
Phew! I would freak out more over the colonoscopy than I did over surgery. Glad you're back and better! |

i had to have one of those. I woke up in the middle of it screaming in pain and the doctor started yelling at me "shut up and go to sleep". I felt so violated. The shot something else in my IV and I fell back to sleep, but then I woke up again when the heart monitor alarm went off. I popped my head up, looked at my vital signs, asked whats wrong, and he yelled "nothing-go back to sleep". It was awful. When the procedure was over the nurse went and told my hubby that they had a hard time keeping me sedated and i kept waking in pain. Then the doctor came in to discharge me and my mouth hit the floor......he was being real sweet while my husand was in there. I wanted to report his behavior to the hospital, but I felt so violated and embarrassed with that tube up my hiney and the doctor screaming at me like I was a child. I just wanted to forget it happened. |
