If you get laser, it will be some of the best money you ever spent, not even exaggerating. It does feel like a rubberband snap - and some areas are way more sensitive than others. Also, as the treatments go on - they usually turn up the energy, bc the hair is finer/different - so they turn up the juice. So, it can hurt more as you progress in treatment; of course, you just have to let them know if it's too much, and they can turn it down. I got it done maybe 7 yrs ago now...or more? And it's been 'permanent' for me. I would just love to get my legs done, but I don't know...eesh...legs seem like such a big commitment! |
From the sounds of if, I probably won't be a good candidate. I am a "brown" skinned girl with dark hair. I guess it won't hurt to at least check it out. |

If I'm a candidate and like the first results, I will definitely be going back to have my legs done. Just imagine.....NO MORE shaving them. Ahhhhh, I can already picture it now. :) |
I have always wanted to do this...there are two places near me that are great. They both have free touch ups for life...if anything EVER grows back. I think it's a pretty good deal if you consider that! You reminded me that I need to look back into it again. I really don't think it could possibly hurt anymore than a full bikini wax lol. |
I had my initial consultation last night and they said I'm a good candidate for laser hair removal. I'm going in tonight for my very first treatment! :yay_jump: I'm just doing my chin right now. They'll be have a big special in November, so I'm going to wait til then to start any other areas. I have to do a total of 8 treatments, scheduled 6 weeks apart. What is that total time-wise, a year? :scratchhe How many treatments did it take before any of you started seeing results? |
Had my first treatment last night! :D It was pretty much what I expected, except for the smell of burning hair. :p And owwie, it really stung when she'd hit a dense patch of hair on my chin.....and she said she'd be turning up the strength at each visit! |

Yes it works and yes it hurts! I had under arms, legs, entire pelvic area including bikini line, upper lip, and recently did hair line on back of neck. Got tired of ingrown hairs where my stylist had to shave. I had many more treatments than I expected but it was worth it. Wish I would have done it long before. |

So what does this cost? I'm beginning to think I have more facial hair than my (hopefully soon to be) Yorkie. |
