Has anyone seen this story today?

I have to say I found it quite amusing reading the story and comments while drinking my morning coffee! :D

Yep, I saw it. If he worked for the airlines for 28 years, I totally *get* why he did that. Working with the public can really test your patience.

I wish someone caught it on audio and video, that would have been something to witness!

I heard this this morning . . .I'm thinking psychotic break . . .:D I probably would of been :lol tearsif I was a passenger who witnessed that . . .well, after the initial shock of course . . .:p

No doubt! I worked as a waitress and also a bartender many moons ago and can tell you that it is not always fun having to be polite to rude people. I went back to school so that I did not have to stay stuck in an industry where people think that people who serve the public are fair game.

I don't have the patience to be nice to rude people anymore!
Not that I could do what he did, but I always giggle at the thought of people who do have the guts to do it!

I heard he is facing up to 7 years jail time... For what? I don't know.. Because I would have done the same thing that is more time than Lindsey Lohan and she could have killed someone...

I agree...totally ridiculous. I don't think he will ever get that, though. A good attorney should be able to get him off. At least I should hope so. I agree with you, Lindsey Lohan was a danger to herself and others.

It is NOT easy!

He will get off....he got hit in the head, remember! ;):D:) Plus, his mother has been ill with cancer, so he was stressed anyway. I am so sure the attorney will have a great case with this one.

I don't see how public support will help in a legal case. He has lots of support, but the law is the law.

Its' very difficult when you deal with the public. Some days I wish I could work in a room and didn't have to see/talk to a soul. Working as a nurse, you get close to patients who have long stays and long illnesses. One case, for example, was a patient and family the majority of the nurses got really close to. The patient went into cardiac arrest and no matter what we did it was no use. The entire staff was upset and not handling it well. Don't you know another patient came to the hallway outside the room complaining about the "service in this hospital" and threatening to write a letter to the CEO. I have been called nasty things like b--ch by patients who have had too much to drink and fat ( I weighed 122 at the time :D.) It's not easy.

I've been a flight attendant for 20 years and I can totally relate to him!!! I don't think I would go out in a blaze of glory though because I still want my retirement benefits!!:D I've never sweared at a passenger, atleast not in front of their face!:D

I found nursing to be a pleasure after working as a waitress and bartender; but sometimes it depends on where you work. Certain areas in a hospital can be extremely stressful....ER for example. My favorite area was oncology/hematology. You never had patients flipping out...they were so wonderful in spite of what they were going through.
