I found my Wedding Dress!!
 
I am very self conscious so the whole dress shopping process made me nervous as hell. I went to David's Bridal with my mom "just for fun" and had a horrible experience. That made going shopping "for real" even worse.

I know what I like and what flatters my figure. I was a little disappointed when the girl told me that they didn't have the dress I wanted. It is brand new. It's not even in the store yet. The owner came up to talk to me and said they could make it!! I did find a dress that had a back that I fell in love with. The owner said they could take my dress and put that design on it!!!! Sooo it's pretty much a custom made dress!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!

We are getting married on the beach in Long Branch, NJ. The reception is at McLoone's Pier House. 8/5/11. I can't wait!! I'm so glad I found the dress!!!

I just wanted to share it with all of you!!

Yay! It sounds gorgeous! With them custom making it like that it will be unique to you which sounds even better! Such an exciting time, embrace it, it's all about you!

Well, it sounds like you have found the perfect dress, and the perfect man if he loves Yorkietalk! :p I hope you continue to find just the right things that will make your wedding day special for you.

Yes he loves our new girl and she loves him!!! He doesn't post much on YT but he researches. He is the perfect man! We've been together since my sophmore year of High School! (almost 9 years!)

Wow, which beach? Maybe I"ll run down and watch from the boardwalk. Good luck. I'm glad you found a dress and sounds like you found a great guy. My daughter was married on LB beach at the Ocean Place and my nephew is getting married on the Point Pleasant beach on 7/30

We looked at Ocean Place but I didn't like that if it rains (God forbid!!) we'd be stuck in a ballroom...which is opposite of what we want. I did like how they did the reception on the beach though! So cool!

We're getting married on the beach right in front of the beach between McLoone's Pier House and The Avenue! Right where there is that pretty arch on the boardwalk.

The reception is in McLoone's. It has really big windows right on the beach so we will be looking out at the ocean. It's modern with the big white paper balls!

Your dress and location sound like a dream! I love weddings! I also love the beach. A lot of brides don't think about the back of the dress, but that's what everyone is looking at during the ceremony!

I want Dharma to be in the wedding, but I have to figure out what we would do with her after the wedding during the reception!

Yeah, I'm kinda freaking out right now! Lots to do. Wait until you see Lily's dress! SO CUTE. I have no idea where this past year went..it's crazy!

You have about a year to think about how you can have Dharma in the wedding. Maybe pay someone to dog sit at a hotel or something during the reception? It's obviously going to have to be someone you know and trust..but those people will probably be at the wedding so it's hard. You'll think of something.:)
