Tats gone bad! With some of the new tattoo threads I was wondering if anyone has a story about a tat gone bad? My friend, Joe, had a baby that died and he wanted to tribute him with a tattoo on his arm. Since Joe's dad was named Joe and the baby was named Joe, he went to the tattoo "artist" and decided to have "Baby Joe" tattooed on his upper arm. Apparently the tattoo artist didn't know how to spell and Joe was shocked when he was finished and they handed him a mirror and it said "Babby Joe". Either that or Joe was the one who made the mistake - I don't know anything about getting tattoos because I don't have any. So now Joe decides (after it's all healed) to have twigs and designs put over top and around the word "Babby" and now it just says "Joe". He didn't like that, so he had more twigs and designs put over and around the word "Joe" and winds up with a meaningless tattoo that to me looks like a muddy jumble of things. Anyone else have a tat gone bad story? |
I have a few tatts, and I love them all! However friend of mine did very silly thing. She love horses, so she decide to get ankle bracelet made up of very tiny intricate horses all different colours. Any person who understand tattoo see why that huge mistake. The colour ran, the design didn't work because so small and now it just look like she has a dirty ring around her ankle. |
Usually "good" tattoo artists make you spell what you want put on your body on a piece of paper so there's no mistake. Unfortunately a lot of tattoo's tend to fade as time goes on..so the colors may start to run together, therefore it will look like one giant blob. Nowadays you really have to search for a good tattoo artist. When my husband wanted a coverup on his airforce tattoo that he already had (the tattoo had started to fade and blend together) , we went to a tattoo convention where there were thousands of artists who were displaying their work. It's really an interview process, and looking at each of their portfolios to see what type of work they have done in the past. P.S. my husband's coverup turned out beautiful. However, my favorite tattoo on my husband is the one of a beautiful cross honoring the passing of his mother. It's gorgeous and it was done by the same tattoo artist that did his coverup. |

My niece's BIL has his own business in FL doing tattoos and he is absolutely brilliant. He's a fantastic artist to begin with. Your husband's tattoos sound beautiful. :) |

These are too funny! Makes me second guess wanting one now. |
 This is one of the reasons I will never have a tattoo or plastic surgery. I couldn't live with bad work or mistakes, especially ridiculous spelling errors, lol. |

Yes, that's how our's were done the other week but still, even though I knew it was right on the template, when the guy was doing the big one on my hubby's arm I was so paranoid that a kids name was going to be spelled wrong or the birthdate would be wrong. A permanent mistake tattooed on your body is one of the worst!! |
Knowing Joe they were probably both drunk. |
