TX - From Hogs to Gators As if we don't have enough varmits in TX as it is: Just back away from gators, officials warn Houstonians | Houston & Texas News | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle No clue what would make someone toss bread at one of these and call it.:eek::confused: |
I guess it's human nature to feed "strays", but I don't think I would want to feed a gator during mating season who was using my swimming pool for his love nest. When I was young we used to camp in the Ocala National Forrest in central Florida. The campground had a dock that ended where the spring was. There were lots of alligators living in the marshes, but one in particular would come out each evening and swim under the dock and wait for people to toss marshmallows to him. We watched Pete grow from a hatchling to a 6' -7' gator. Actually it was interesting watching him swim around with his mouth open waiting for his treat. Years later I heard that Ole Pete was relocated down the spring run to a more isolated area to prevent any problems. |
Just a thought, maybe if they relocated some of the gators to Hogland, it would help solve one problem :D :D :D |
Where is you compassion. Gators get hungry...what with all that lovin' and such! |

But it is true.....a hunters paradise. I may buy a piece of land there, just so I can finally have a pick-up with rifles mounted over the rear window and a set of horns on the Hood! The thought of it is enough to......well, you know! :D |
Yes we do. Did you know our Firefighters in the Dallas/FTW area only wear Wrangler jeans. They are Smokin Hot. Yes we have all kinds of Hunters. :D |
