Don't feel bad, I'm right there with you. We didn't have a VCR until I graduated high school. My favorite movie, I loved Cinderella & Sleeping Beauty. I can remember my mom taking us to the theatre and seeing Sleeping Beauty.

It's funny to see how the differences in our ages influences our viewing habits. I just recently got my first DVD because I was too cheap to give up on all my VCRs (which I still own three of!).

Of course, I was the nerd who bought an 8-track recorder in high school months before cassettes took over the market. And I'm sure you've never used either of those.

As for movies, I forgot my true childhood favorite: Peter Pan.

I never even heard of "Goonies"... My all time favorite (man, am I dating myself) Gone with the Wind !!

The Last Unicorn!!! I had forgotton about that one. I loved that! I wonder if you can still get that on video or DVD. I'm gonna check that out. :D I also liked The Lady in White, it scared me so bad but I loved it.

I saw it the other day at walmart pretty sure it was less than $10. I think I also saw it at target. I loved the last unicorn too.

I am sad to say that some of the movies I watched over and over as a child arent very entertaining to me now. FOr instance I bought The Neverending story a month ago because I rememeber loving it as a child and it was stupid to me now. Im sad. BUt I still love goonies and the rest that I mentioned earlier. I have watched all of them recently so I know they are still good :) .

I agree, the same movies are never as good as we remember them, however it is fun to see my kids watch the movies and like them as much as I did.

The Land Before Time. I still cry at that movie and it is my all time favorite. :p

My all time favorites were Sound of Music, Peter Pan (the play though....not the cartoon), Pete's Dragon (which I had to have on DVD), The Last Unicorn, Shirley Temple's The Little Princess, and get this, from the age of 4 my favorite movie was The Alligator about a baby alligator who gets flushed down the toilet, mutates, and kills people......I was a horror film junkie in the making! :p

Such good choices! Mine was more a tv show. The Storyteller by Jim Henson. Closely followed by Labyrinth and Dark Crystal which I was obsessed with. Really anything with Muppets now that I think of it.

When I was WEE little my mom took me to see Song of the South,,, she said, the part where they are gonna get rid of the puppys by drowning them if noone took them, she said, I stood up in the theatre,, crying ,and Yelling, "I'll take em" SO that was always my fav. old movie story,, xcept I barely even remember that movei, should watch it now.
But One of my all time fav, movies, That I still watch and love ,,, is Babe.
Love the, " I want my mom" part.. still makes me cry.

Oh and another,,not that popular , movie I loved was Savannah Smile.. I named a dog Savannah ,because of that movie.. and someone on here has a dog named Savannah... love it!
