I will really miss her and her buddy stories. If I knew she was leaving I would have tried to stop her but Im not here as much as I used to be so I didnt know. So sad......... |

I know when someone is suspended (which she was NOT) that they come back as before (never been suspended but that's my understanding) but never knew how it worked for someone who asked to become inactive maybe she'll miss us as much as we're going to miss her :)and changes her mind. I think I have her mailing address from a previous Christmas Card Exchange... maybe I will give her some time and then send her a letter/card in the mail letting her know how missed her and Buddy are! |

I have been in contact with Carol and she was indeed banned. She did ask her membership be cancelled and when she came back to see if it had been she got the notice that she was banned and when the ban would be lifted...Never! I believe a great injustice has been served. |

My ban was for one week, but if also said "never"!!!!! I beleive I was told that my ban was for a week, my next ban would be for 3 weeks, and the next one would be permanent. If it is her first, she can return and I would not worry about the NEVER part. Perhaps WyliesMmom or Admin can answer that. She was terrific. If good people are banned like that, I think I will just stop coming here. |

I think if you ask Admin to cancel your membership, you have to wait a month before you return, and you lose your donating status. I hope everyone remembers that there will be times you disagree with what people have posted and how they've said it, and even how admin decides to rule. Instead of deciding to leave and making a formal thread about your reasons, which could lead to a possible permanent banning, it might be best to leave for a few days and think it over. Carol is one of the most genuine people I know, she lets you know what she thinks about things, and has a great deal of integrity. I'm really sad that Carol decided to leave; I don't think she realizes how valuable of a member she is here. Add me to the list of Buddy fans, her stories about him were heartwarming and the love they share is so special. I hope Carol will decide there is more good than bad at Yorkietalk, and come back soon. I imagine admin reviews every case individually. |
I enjoyed Carol's posts about Buddy. She is a sympathetic and caring person who has strong beliefs as to right and wrong. She did what her principles compelled her to do even though it meant leaving YT and the friends she cared about here. She was very principled and I admire that. |
Just want to help w/ the speculation. Carol was definitely not banned - she is just no longer a member, at her request. She and Buddy will most certainly be missed. Similar to what Nancy said, I too wish people would take some time to think things over and/or communicate via PM with others before making decisions such as this. If for nothing else, just to gain another perspective before making a final decision. Of course, we always respect a member's choice to leave and wish them well. |
