So Happy and Wanted To Share
 
My daughter, Pamela, just found out she passed her NAVLE exam! In layman's terms, she will be a licensed veterinarian when she graduates this December! Right now she's finishing up her clinical rotations at UPENN and is at their large animal facility, New Bolton Center. We are so very proud of her! :)

oh wow!! Congrats to your daughter! thats a major accomplishment. does she know what she's gonna do after graduation?

she's considering doing a residency in Oncology. small animal is definitely where she's headed and likes both oncology and neurology. she said the oncology department at UPENN is amazing and would probably apply there.

Oncology is amazing and if she has the heart for it she'd be in a wonderful specialty. She'd be helping a lot of pets and their owners, and its a very emotional field.

you'd think wouldn't ya Jen? but I had her look at Chan's wart on his back and already she talks like a Doc...told me it's cosmetic and not worth the risk of anesthesia! lol

:congrats: What a great accomplishment that she has achieved! Vet school takes a lot of dedication and hard work. We all need to appreciate our vets for their dedication to the health of our pets. :bravo:

technically? YES! I've been paying for years! rofl

I also forgot to mention that she had just completed an externship as the ASPCA in NYC back in March. She loved it! They offered her an internship in shelter medicine which she is also considering. :)

That's awesome! My daughter (now 16 years old) has her heart set on vet school - luckily we're near A&M. She's known where her heart was since she was little.

same with Pamela. she always brought something home to try and nurse back to health. stray kittens, mice, birds, turtles, etc.!
