Bham Crawfish Boil / Ace & TJ
 
As many of you already know, I am a HUGE Train fan. They are my absolute favorite group. So when it was announced that they were one of the headliners for Birmingham's Crawfish Boil this past weekend, I couldn't miss it.
It's a HUGE street festival that they have every spring with radio personalities Ace & TJ (out of NC).

Long story short, we had great, close spots for Train and I can die happy now after having laid hands on Pat Monahan (lead singer.) Here is a really cool video my hubby took when he crowd surfed right over my head :eek: and some other pics of some of the cool performances.

Question Misty, Where's the Crawfish/Crayfish? Looks likes fun. Was that you bodysurfing?

Well, the crawfish were all being eaten...or boiled. I heard how much they had....like 20,000 lbs or something. Insane! As much as I love the stuff, I'm allergic to seafood. Seafood and the sweltering heat would have been a baaaad combo, so I stayed clear. :p

LOL...no, I was 'under' the crowd surfer. :p

Hope they got the seafood BEFORE the oil spill! Did you have a cold one for me?

LOL...that's an understatement.:D

It had been a long time since I'd seen them in concert. Since December! I suppose this weekend will have to do until the next time I see them....in August.

(You realize, of course, that the Train concerts I attend are getting dangerously close to rivaling the trip to Disney I take. And THAT is really saying something.)

I'm a BIG Train fan and so is my DH! The last time we saw them was at Bay Fest in Mobile back in Oct'09. We saw them at the Wharf a couple years befor that. Pat and Co. are AWSOME! Absolutely the best live.:)

You know they are coming to Enterprise in Jun, right?
If I wasn't going to be in WDW already, I'd go see them then too. :p

LOVED the video---you can now die a happy woman. :D I was trying to spot you in the crowd. :p Train is one of my favorites. B52's are a fun time at a concert too. We go to a lot of concerts with the First Midwest Theater practically in my backyard and when we are not actually there we can hear the music.

Eh...you can't see me in it. I was "below" the range of the camera...hubby is 6'5" and I was right next to (or practically under) him.
They attribute Bham to being the city that gave them their start so they play here a lot. :thumbup:
