Mary I couldn't sleep and I can't wait to see you next week! I came on to take my mind off things and being with friends is a comfort to me. I have lots to do in the next few days so when I have some down time and being with friends helps a lot :) My mom shared my love with the yorkies and was always so proud when my babies did good in the ring. She was always around going with me and my daughter her granddaughter in her sports and she always shared her love in the passions I had in life whether it be my horses or my dogs...she was always cheering me on :) my dogs wins were her wins so I smile knowing she is now my guardian angel :)

Awww, your mother sounded like such a wonderful mother and grandmother. We live in a small town where entire extended families attend church programs, school programs, sports events, etc. Children who have grandparents that are no-show or live a ways away are always are keenly aware of it. It's always difficult when kids lose a grandparent who was so supportive. Hugs to you and you family. Heartfelt condolences. ~Joanne~

Thank you so much! Yes, she was always there when I was young watching me barrel race always encouraged me to follow my dreams and she never missed my barrel races always went with me to my barrel racing events and then when my daughter was cheerleading I don't think she ever missed her games she cheered, she never missed her cheerleading competitions. She was always with us at everything we were involved in. She had her car accident when I got involved in dogs and showing so she couldn't go with me like she did when I was riding horses and daughter cheering and she always got frustrated when she couldn't travel with me but she always wanted me to keep her posted on our wins and how the yorklets were doing in the ring. My mom was a strong voice and one of the most blunt and honest woman I ever knew. She never let anyone tell her she couldn't do anything and she made sure she raised me the same way! She never cared whether or not she was liked but had many friends because she always stood her ground and behind her convictions and never faultered in her love for Jesus and she was just so outspoken and didnt' care if she were politicially correct LOL...she was honest in her word and let ya know if you were wrong LOL...again, I'm just so honored to be the type of person she wanted me to be and that was just like her! I guess that is why I'm so outspoken and have the passion I have because she was just that so passionate!! She will greatly be missed!

Hello Donna, sorry we hadn't met prior to this but I too wanted to pass on my condolences to you. It's wonderful that your mom shared your passions & I hope that every single time you have a win or feel her presence it makes you smile knowing that she's still right there cheering you on.
May time ease the hurt you feel.

Losing a mother causes great pain, but the love and memories you have shared with her will always remain in your heart. I lost my mother at an early age, but I carry her around deep inside my heart at all times, and it always brings me comfort. I wish you the same and my deepest sympathy.

I'm sorry for the your loss, it must be such a sad day for you.......Just reading your posts gives me a sense of what a wonderful mom you and your family where blessed to have shared in all of your lives. She must have left many cherished memories.....what glorious a gift from her....... I hope for you those memories are what you hold onto in your heart until you are together once more laughing, loving and sharing........

Mothers are so special to us and it is so hard to lose them. Mothers are our first love and one of the true examples of unconditional love that we ever experience. I lost my mom 16 years ago and it was one of the hardest things I ever had to face. I still miss her and think about her every day. Some things fade over the years but the love is always there. Donna, I am so sorry and my thoughts will be with you and your family today.
