I lost someone very dear to my heart today
 
Almost 18 years to this date I met the most amazing woman, Carrie, who had such an impact on my life. I miss her already and it's been less than 12 hours.
She was a customer at my bank and hasseled me my 3rd day on the job, I almost quit. 2 more weeks went by she made me cry when she left my office. The next week she made me cry, but this time right in front of her.

The following week I was getting a bite to eat before school at a little Italian restaurant.......who walks in.....Carrie! She sat across from me and said "do you mind" I replied "just don't make me cry":confused:

We had the most amazing conversation and great laughs; I skipped class and had a few beers with my new 67 year old, wise, intelligent witty friend.

She was with me through divorce, break ups, ups down you name it. I was with her through the hip replacement to the retirement center. We spoke on the phone about once a week and she always made me laugh and left me with a "thought of the day".

Feeling really empty right now:(

I am so sorry for your loss. Pray and she will help you and give you strength. She lives in your heart forever and nobody can take that from you.

Wow, what a great way to see her passing as a way to hold onto all that she meant. :)

Im sorry for your loss. It sounds as if she was one very special lady. You are lucky and wise to have let her into your life.

Yes she was one of kind...a soul that will always be with me. I was lucky to have her as a friend.

Dear Wendy, I am so sorry, Carrie is someone that will always be very special to you, wonderful friends and happy memories are to be cherished. Sounds like you were very special to her and for her too, being with her through all the transitions she had to go through, hip replacement and moving into a retirement center isn't easy at our age, how blessed you both were to have such a wonderful friendship and those many years of helping one another.
