Wedding Anniversary
 

On May 17, DH and I celebrate our 25th. wedding anniversary, I did not want to buy another shirt, or a perfume,or a tie ( thats reserved for fathers day LOL)
I had been in US for only 5 years when we got married, and we could not afford a celebration, so we went with our parents, to the City Hall, sign our papers, and came back to our new 1 bedroom apartment were we had a cake a few things my mom had made, took some pictures, and off we went to Cancun for our honeymoon.
DH is not big on celebrating anything, but this year I want to make something special, not really big, but meaningful.Going on a second Honeymoon came to mind, but its out of the question, we don't have enough time ($). But I thought we could have a few friends and family over and have a little get together.
If the ladies reading this are something like me, that even at 48 like to day dream, Im sure you'll understand. I wanted to dedicate a song to my husband, and maybe have a little dance.
I found this on You Tube, and brought back so many memories.
For the younger crowd may seem funny, but Im sure for the not so young, this will take you back in time.
Can you suggest any other song, for this occasion ?

yeah, i agree with you about "from this moment" being more appropriate for a wedding - but if you are having a get together with music playing in the background the whole time - i think it would be appropriate.

The "Remember When" song by Alan Jackson just came to mind. It talks about all the trials/tribulations a marriage goes through. Happy Anniversary to you. 25 years is definitely something to be proud of. I just had my 9 yr anniversary and I thought I was doing something..lol
