Skechers Shape-Ups Just bought a pair, but was wondering if anyone else already has, and what they think of them? If you already work-out are you noticing any difference? |
My sister just got a pair and has been walking about a week with them. She said she thinks they are helping. |
Sorry I have to ask.. when you put them on, do they look too bulky? I want to buy a pair, but with my skinny legs, I don't want to look like Minnie Mouse :D |
Well as someone that works at Skechers corporate I can tell you all about Shapeups!! People have talked about the bulk of the Shapeups so we have a new line called Shape Ups XF which have a lower profile so they don't look as bulky. SKECHERS Shape-ups XF-Accellerators shoes: 1. Tone your muscles 2. Promote healthy weight loss 3. Make it easy to get in shape! Extended Fitness low profile lace-up sneaker. We have heard such great things from people who have bought shape ups from people losing weight just by wearing them around to people who have had back or knee problems and now they are not experiencing the problems anymore. My dentist had a problem with his heel hurting so he bought a pair and now the problem is gone (because the shape of the shoe you do not put pressure on your heels...you are actually balancing on like a ball so it takes the pressure of your heel and toe area). I highly recommend them to everyone!! :D |

The new XF line stands for Extended Fitness and can be worn all the time. I think the shape is comfortable for all feet regardless of the shape of them. |

Not all knee problems go away. My GF bought a pair after Christmas. She does have knee problems and thought they might help. After wearing them for 1month her knees didn't feel better and she went to her orthropedic doc. He told her not to wear these sneakers. It was only adding pressure on her knees due to the way you walk in them. Just letting you know since you asked. I do plan on getting a pair. I'm a walker and I would love to try them. |
Because it's like those balance balls that people use at the gym. Basically your body is constantantly working to balance so it's making your core work to balance itself out. It also improves your posture because you are forced to stand straight to balance out. They work you out when you don't even realize. I read on Twitter that this guy Scout (he is friends with Tori Spelling and on her show) bought a pair and wore them for a few days walking in New York. He said he wasn't sore from walking all day and that after wearing them for a few days he had to get a size smaller pair of pants from losing weight. He was singing the praises of the Shape Ups! |

Yes I do...I have one of the original styles (but I'm really tall so I don't like to wear them except to exercise). I'm excited to get a pair of the XF ones and I'm sure I will be wearing them much more!! |

Who would have known! I just wore them all day today because we had all our errands to run...and you are right, I definitely feel it in my lower leg muscles. Thanks for all the great info! |
I saw them at Kohl's last time I was there. They look kinda neat until I saw the pricetag  are they coming down in price anytime soon? |
