Prayers Please We could really use some YT prayers and thoughts. My husband is going in for his 12th surgery (Friday) in the last 28 months. We are really wanting this to be the last one but he is at a 50% chance of having to have a colostomy bag this time, he is only 31 and this has been a lot of surgerys. Please keep us in your thoughts. I always worry each time we have to go in again. Thank you YT family and friends. |
I will keep him in my prayers. My Dad had a colostomy bag and I hope your husband can avoid it. |
Oh my lovely friend! I'm so sorry and will definitely be praying for you both! I know what this is like having had 15 uterian surgeries myself and about to have a full hysterectomy! It's not fun to say the least! If there is anything I can do including being an ear for you to vent to PLEASE do not hesitate to PM me! You can have my phone number and I will be a 24 hour hotline!! I'm serious! Will check in with you tomorrow and see how you are doing! Hugs and prayers are with you tonight! :-) |
 Thoughts and Prayers for you and your Husband  |
I will certainly say a special prayer for you and your husband. |
Prayers are going your way, and I hope for all the best for your hubby and some peace of mind for your whole family. A bag isn't pleasant, but isn't the end of the world either. Sometimes it is necessary just temporarily, then things can be hooked up normally again. A dear friend has gone thru this over the last 2 years, and things are looking up now. Don't know what your hubby's case is, but hope it will be resolved and he will make a full recovery. Keep us posted. Hugs to you all! |
Thoughts and Prayers for you and your Husband . |
My whole family will be praying for your family, I just had a resection in September and was facing the same outcome. It is a huge deal to people who are going through it, and especially at 31. As the post above mentioned though, if colostomy is the outcome, there are many worse things, and they often can be reversed (depending on the reason for it) once things are under control. Stay strong. Please let us know how things went, I will check back for any updates. |
Sending positive thoughts and energy your way. |

Thank you everybody for your prayers and kind words. I will keep updates as often as I can. I am trying to do this on my phone and it takes forever to post. |
You and your husband will be in my prayers. Good luck. |
Sending prayers your way. My sister had a colostomy bag after they had to remove most of her colon. Luckily they were able to go back and reattach what was left of her colon to the rectum after 5 mos. I will pray that your husband doesn't have to go through that. |
Praying that your husband can have the least invasive surgery with the best possible outcome...... |
Sorry I missed this yesterday but glad the surgery is over and finger's crossed it was a success. Prayer's coming also. |
Here is to a speedy recovery and the best to both of you. |
Sending prayers and best wishes to you and your husband. I hope all went well with this latest surgery. |
You both will be in my prayers Patches & Winnie |

SEnding prayers your way |
we are home We are finally home with great news. Surgery went really good this time, actually better then expected. We are thinking that only one more surgery and that should be the last one. We did not have to have the colostmy bag (he will just have a few problems "holding it" but that will get better) Thank you to everybody for your support and prayers.:) Some have asked me about a few more details. It is hard to explane and I will keep it basic and as simple as I can. IF you are sensative to icky medical things you may not want to click on the links. Travis (my husband) was having problems with his bottom (thought it was hemroids) we went to the ER christmas eve of 2008 and he was in emergency surgery that evening. They had to remove 9in x 6in x 4in of tissue from his butt, it was a Perirectal abcess. Perirectal Abscess: eMedicine Emergency Medicine He was not able to heal from that surgery, then he was found to have a Anal Fistula http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/583440 It was complex and required several surgeries to try and fix it. Now we are very greatfull and see the end of all these surgeries, I hope that we can actually go to the beach this summer. He has had a "open" wound since all this started just over 2 years ago. |
Yeah!!!! So glad things worked out. Sounds like you guys have been through way more than your share of troubles. Praying for clear sailing from now one. Celebrate!! |
So very glad the news was good and the surgery went well. I am praying that he has a speedy uneventful recovery!! |
Thank you, We are so happy. I started to cry when the doc came to talk to me after surgery, tears of joy of course. I think we are almost done with all the surgeries. I am so ready for a family vacation, even if it is close to home. :D |
Sounds like you deserve a very nice relaxing worry free vacation! Hope that happens for you soon.:) |
I am SO GLAD to hear the good news. Still praying for a full recovery for him, and some much deserved rest and relaxation for both of you. You are so young, and have your whole lives ahead of you, and it will be so good to get on with "living normally". Wishing you all the best! |
Wow, how horrible that your family has been dealing with this for so long:( I can't imagine the pain your dear hubby must have been enduring. I hope and pray that everything heals up properly this time, and that he's completely recovered quickly. BIG hugs to you and him!!! |
