I can't tell you how happy I am to come and read your son and puppy are ok. Sending warm thoughts and love :hug: |
Don't worry about negative posts - some people always seem to try and find their own 'cause' be it totally inappropriate or maybe they just didn't grasp your post (over their heads). I am very glad to hear a better outcome than I thought it might have been. Sorry the owners of the pit were of no help - I hope this dog is dealt with properly - In my opinion, if it attacked for no reason - it will do it again, and next time the out come for owner or pet might not be as lucky....:thumbdown |
What an answer to prayer! Thank God your son is ok AND even his puppy. That is great! So brave of him to not give up in getting the dog off his pup. Wow. I am sure you feel so much better! I am glad you have the support of YT. I am sure I would have done the same thing by coming here and sharing what was on my heart. I am sure you were going crazy being so far away, but thank God everything is OK. I really hope they take the dog away from these owners. It is obvious they are not responsible and do not deserve such a dog. |

I'm thrilled your son and his pup are going to be okay. What an absolutely horrifying ordeal for them to go through. I do hope the owner is prosecuted. You've no need to apologize, as you did nothing wrong by posting a request for prayer. |

I hope they do go after the owners - I don't blame dogs but do blame owners when I hear about stuff like this - there's too many people out there that have no control or take precautions when they have large animals and its people like your son and his dog who suffer (and could be killed) I really am glad they're both going to be ok. What a nightmare.... |
How terrible. I am so glad to hear your son and Armani are going to be ok. What your son did was amazing. |
I'm so glad your son and Armani are doing a little bit better today. No matter how old our children are, they are still our "babies". I'm glad all the YT prayers helped - what a horrible experience this must have been for all of you. ((HUGS)) |
What an ordeal.... I am so happy everything is going well. Still praying for their recovery. Prayers from YT having been non stop! |
I am glad things ok Patches & Winnie |
I am so relieved to hear that your son and his pup are going to be ok. |
Wow!! How scary!! I'm so glad everyone is ok! |
It's wonderful to read your son and his puppy will be ok. What an horrific story. Your son is very brave and Armani is quite the little trooper. I hope he get's justice for this somehow. |

I hope that your meeting today with the tenant association went well and either this dog is removed from these people. Why are people so horrible? :( |
I am so glad to see your updates and know that your son and Armani are doing better. I've thought of you all so much since reading your thread. That poor hand and arm of his is going to take a lot of healing and therapy. Bless his heart! What a hero he was to come to the rescue of his dog. I hope you get some action whereas that tenant and dog can be evicted from that complex. I also hope justice is served and your son's and Armani's medical bills will be covered by the responsible party. It is unimaginable that the owner did not help stop this brutal attack. Don't feel you have to defend yourself for coming on here and posting a prayer thread. I have done the same thing during a crisis...on pins and needles and just needed to talk to someone. The remark in the one post was very uncalled for. Bless your heart. I'm so sorry for your son's and his dog's injuries, but so thankful it wasn't even worse! |
Thank God your son and Armani are doing better. Prayers DO work and certainly are needed in times like this. I will keep them in my prayers for a complete and speedy recovery. :)Amanda |
Thank God your son and pup are doing ok, and I pray that they will both have a full recovery. As others have said the emotional impact may not be totally seen or understood for a long time, and it certainly is something that will be with all of you forever. Bless you all! |
Just saw this thread... Praying for a full recovery for your son and Armani! |
Thanks again for all the kind words and Prayers. Lorenzo is coming home on wed. if he keeps doing so well WHOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I cannot wait to get him back into his home! He is so anxious to see Armani, for himself and make sure he is okay. We accomplished alot today, saw a lawyer and met with the building Owners. Sad part is there is not alot we can do about getting the dog out of the building, since the owners of the building, were not aware of this being a vicious dog, BUT now that they have been made aware,if someone else is hurt, or another animal is attacked, they know they will be liable and could be sued. So we are pretty confident, that they dont want that to happen, and will tell the owners of the dog, that he has to go. I only pray it is before wed. so we can bring my son home, without the threat of running into this dog, and he can relax. There is a court date in May, with animal control, where these ppl will be made accountable for there dog. We have been told it is not a big deal and they will only be charged with a $50.00 fine, but we decided to press it, and make these owners have to stand there in front of everyone, and be shamed, for there actions. |
I am so glad to hear that Lorenzo will be coming home on Wednesday and that Armani is ok. Sounds like prayers for their recovery have been answered. Please keep us updated with the court proceedings - I am glad that you have chosen to pursue the matter legally. Will contine to keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. |
Keeping you in my prayers. |

on another note, i think that you might want to contact the D.A.'s office at the least to see if you can press charges against the owner of the dog under these circumstances. if i am remembering correctly, the person shoved your son and also prevented him from being helped by the other neighbor. that sounds like a sufficient level of participation to warrant more than a $50 fine. it's at least a battery. also, sometimes lawyers don't know always know what they're talking about, so if the lawyer you consulted said it wasn't a big deal, i would immediately get some referrals and contact several more. almost all of them will do a free consultation and you can at least get a consensus on the law in that area. this just sounds like a very minimal response to such a serious situation. keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.... |
I am so happy your son is coming home. Wishing him a speedy recovery and little Armani one as well. It's so difficult to think they are giving this vicious dog a second change and have not taken him from the owner's. Now that's scary and nut's IMO. Next time it could be a child. This just dosen't make sence to me at all. That dog needs to be put down. What are the authorities thinking? Fine, $50.00? that to me is an insult. |
So happy to read your post. Know that I am still sending positive thoughts and love :hug::hug: |
I am so glad to hear your son and his lil one are going to be ok. I know there will be a lot of recovery time for him. (I worked in the OR for 14 year have help repair many hands) I will continue to keep you all in my prayers. |
Hi everyone....we are back home, Lorenzo and Armani are doing well...thanks really for all your thoughts and prayers, you just dont know how much I appreciated each and everyone... My son, has some movement in his fingers (so relieved)...wanted to throw a party, we were so excited..he has a long way to go, but doing awesome...Armani is back to being a big puppy, like nothing has ever happened...he was so excited to see my son, as much as my son was sp excited to see him. On the crummy part, the dog is still in the building...we never saw him one time, and to this date my son has never seen him either. My son has decided to put his loft up for sale and find something else. Sad he just bought it a yr and a half ago, but the thought of looking over his shoulder constantly, is not something he is wanting to do..We have tired everything we can think of to have this dog removed from the building, Lorenzo has pressed charges, so now waiting for that court date, he has one in May with animal control...I guess I was niave, and thought things would be taken care of immediately (always is on tv or in the news) but things dont go that way in real life. But thanks again to you all! |
Thank goodness you son and pup are doing ok. I hope he makes a full recovery, and someday can put this behind him. Too bad you have to "fight" for justice, but I hope he prevails in court. Good luck. |
I'm glad that your son and pup are recovering nicely! I can't believe the dog is back in the building after such an attack. That is shocking! I just read this morning about a 7 day old infant that was attacked and killed by a pitt while the child's teenage mom was asleep next to him. So awful! |
