Newbie question... This might be a really stupid question but why at the bottom of the page are advertisers allowed to advertise for "teacup yorkies" and toy breed puppies? How is it that they are allowed to do this? Really makes me mad... |
YT allows advertising like this to pay for the upkeep of the site. The admin really can't specify what ads are and are not allowed for the most part. Since the forum is free to use and we have 60,000 members, the money is needed. :) That is my understanding anyway. |
yeah, they are google ads pretty much.... ugly things. They pick up on keywords on the site and target the ads to that. You'll see some awful ones... when the whole Michael Vick thing happened we had some ads on here with pics of dogs that were in fights... it was awful :( |

I don't know how it works but since I switched over to Firefox a couple of years ago, I don't ever see the banner ads. I also use Spyware Doctor virus protection. IDK enough about computers, browsers or software to know which one keeps the ads away from me....just glad I don't see them. |

But if you don't use adblock, then it could be another one of your programs. |
