Summer is coming! What's your favorite get away?
 
I'm planning to go to the beach and go boating and fishing, just like the old times...

So, what's your plan?

Love, love, love San Francisco - I am taking Armani to San Francisco this summer. We got doubly blessed because business is taking me to San Diego this summer and I will take her with me on that trip as well.

I so cannot wait for summer! My hubby and I take our yearly vacation to San Diego (for the Comic-Con) for four nights, and then to Anaheim (Disneyland, of course!) for three nights. It's so much fun, I am counting the days! Plus, I work in the timeshare business and summer is finally when business starts picking up for me! I can definitly use the extra commissions!

My favorite summer getaway is...my backyard! I love my garden, and the best part is that I get to sleep in my own bed at night. :)

lol, I meant that not traveling away from home, I'm sleeping in my own bed.

I'm going to be camping as much as possible! We usually try to go about once a month to nearby state parks. Then we take a couple of longer trips to Tn and Myrtle Beach is usually our last trip. That is our favorite trip. We camp about 50 feet from the beach. It's awesome!

I look forward to Summer mostly because I'm a 12 month employee in a school system and the Summer without school in session is BORING! July is so dead at work so I use a lot of my vacation time and only work 3 day work weeks. Thurs and Fri are mine to do with as I please . . .lounge by the pool, hang around and be with my furkids . . .and me and DH always have weekend date nights with cocktails and cheese/crackers either out by the pool or on the patio . . .So I guess my own backyard is my favorite get away during the Summer.

We are also taking DS and his girlfriend to Disney World in July . . .so looking forward to that as well! Gonna sweat our butts off! :D

Hey where were you last year when i asked if anyone was going to comic con? :D Did you already get your passes? I heard the 4 day passes are long sold out! I may go again this year, but most likely just on Saturday. Do you guys dress up each year?

ETA: ooh, just checked and even single days are sold out, with a tiny smidge of tix avail for Sun only. Guess I'm not going this year. :(

Locally that means Ocean City, MD or Rehoboth Beach, DE

It also means St Barths for 10 days this June with Remy and the family!

I like staying home too for the most part too. Enjoy the peace and quiet...when the dogs aren't barking...lol. I would like to visit a friend in Kansas, but would also like to do some camping and fishing.

Our favorite summer get-away is Cabo San Lucas!! The weather is perfect, the food is fabulous, and the people are really nice.

Long Bay Resort, South Carolina Myrtle Beach. Great place to stay for couples OR for families! We stay there every summer. Can't wait!

We are having our family reunion in Ocean City in July. I checked yesterday and sadly Armani will not be allowed on the beach :(. I so want to see how she reacts to the beach!

My favorite getaway in the summer is Alaska! Here in Texas we broil all summer long, so the last place I want to go is the beach where it's sunny and HOT. The mountains or Alaska is my summer getaway of choice!

We are renting a house on the Gulf Coast in September. Mom and my Aunts Yorkies are gonna be there. It'll be Jackson's first time at the beach!!! Can't wait. I'm sure he is excited too!!

In Ocean City once the "high season" begins pets are no longer allowed on the beach. However, if you are an early riser (or a night owl) you can take the pup on the beach during "off hours". Remy's been out there very, very early morning - aka - sunrise. Have a terrific time :)

St Barths is a lot of fun, our family has been visiting there for nearly 20 years...this year we are celebrating my parents 50th, my dad's 75th, and my step son's engagement. Should be a wonderful trip, and Remy's first visit;)

We've been to Destin.... sugar sand beaches... very pretty area!!

By far, my most favorite vacation was a four night stay at the Grand Floridian at Walt Disney World followed by a Disney Cruise...the cruise being the absolute best part. Everything about the cruise was perfect from the minute we boarded. We have cruised with Disney 4 times and I cannot wait until we cruise with them again. :animal-pa
