Is this dress ok for a wedding? 2 Attachment(s) I may be going to a wedding soon and I really like this dress: UrbanOutfitters.com > Reformed Macy Dress My question is do you think it would be appropriate to wear to a wedding? The color is like an off white..and it's lace. Or should I wear another color? I'm also thinking of another dress, I'm posting the pics of the color and fabric below:) Please help me out as I don't know..I haven't gone to many weddings..I've been in them but as a bridesmaid. I did hear something about not wearing white cause of the bride but was wondering about off white? |
IMO, I dont think you should wear white or any shade of white or cream. Brides dresses these days are not always white, a lot are cream, or off white. Its a pretty dress tho, I just wouldnt wear to a wedding. |
i agree... white and cream is kinda a no-no at weddings unless you are the bride! |
Definitely would NOT wear white, or off white. Even if the bride does not it is still considered taboo to wear to a wedding...and lace? Yikes...lol...I would go for the other color choice if at all possible! Good Luck :winky: |
LOL Ok Cool thanks guys!!! Will not be wearing either then! I'll get like a nice spring color like purple or blue since it'll be this spring anyway:) |
I think you have made a good decision. You wouldn't want to compete with the bride, as pretty as you are competition is going to be tough enough anyways....lol One of my friends wore a cream color sundress to our other friends wedding and she stood out in all of the photos....She sure was embarassed when we started looking through the albums... |
lol I would be too. That makes sense though..i def. don't want to compete with the bride, it's her day! lol I'll find a cute pastel dress to wear and wear these lace ones out with the girls or something. :) |
No white, cream or ecru! Never steal the brides thunder! I think a shade of purple would be pretty on you. |
thanks! :) |
I think the dress is ADORABLE... but I don't think you should wear it to a wedding. I also think any shade of white is not appropriate. But you could wear that dress a lot so I'd get it anyways, it's sooo cute! |
I definitely agree with everyone else on here, no white shades of any kind at a wedding! I'm glad you're going with a different color! IMO, I didn't like the dress very much anyway, from what little the picture shows, it looks like an 80s dress Madonna would wear! |
