My job is to finish college :) |
I am an Esthetician but am currently on disability for my back, I'm going to start caring for a little girl soon for 4 hrs a day to keep me a little busier. |
I work for a local land developer doing just about anything on any given day. My main focus is keeping up with rents, paying bills, doing payroll at our office and behinds the scene at a hotel they own. My hours are pretty much flexible, the pay is good, and life doesn't get too boring either. |
I'm a client exec in sales for a hospital information systems company. My clients are in IA, MO, and LA. I work from my home office when I'm not traveling. I did start my healthcare career in respiratory therapy so I get a little respect from the clinical caregivers... :) Oh and I was a patient accounts director as well...and an IT director...and I dipped a lot of ice cream in high school! Great thread! |
I'm a waitress and a nanny going to school to be a psychologist :p |
I own a home based embroidery and graphics business as my main job... we actually own 5 different businesses:) keeps me busy which is great. |
I've been a nurse now for 11 years. I've worked in postpartum, NICU and now I work in labor and delivery and get to celebrate babies' birthdays every night! |
I'm a personal assistant / secretary to my boss and his wife. He owns a tiling / renovations company and she is a real estate broker. I do EVERYTHING for them! Overworked and underpaid LOL! |
Right now I'm in between jobs. I use to be a program leader for an afterschool program. I had a classroom of 6th graders, the perfect blend of innocence and arrogance.:p Like many, I'm searching now, but I am blessed to have at least a part time tutoring job that "pays" well. (I have yet to see my Feb paycheck:rolleyes:) I also help my dad as a property manager assistant/maintenance worker. I help renovate apts by day, and balance the books at night. This work is occasional and I do it because it's fun to work with my dad. :D And I have a degree in History. I have no clue what I'm going to do with that.:( |
Retired Special Education Teacher now working part time for a child advocacy nonprofit group. |
Team Leader in the Surety Dept. at the largest commercial insurance brokerage firm in the world. You'd think they would pay better! I started in the mail room about 5 years ago when I was 19. My mom has been here for 25 years. She bring me lunch every day. :) |

Maybe we are sooo tired because we are running this silly race to the top. I'm a fifth grade teacher by the way. We are self-contained so I teach ALL subjects every day. |
Right now i work for a research company. We do phone surveys for OH, VA, and GA dept. of health and right now for ESPN. So if you get a call from us don't hang up, it's rude and the surveys are actually pretty interesting. I am also getting ready to start college for Early Childhood education. I am so excited for it. =] |
I am the Sales Manager in an IT Company in the United Kingdom. I work a lot of hours... constantly working ... when I am sick at home - well guess what - I work remotely from home :S Have my laptop and IP phone set up but I am always in the office (I wish to work from home more often)... I work too much but thankfully live 10 mins walk away from work so spend mornings, lunches and evenings with Samuel! My vet is also 2 mins walk from home so it really helps... To be honest, I am too tired to clean his pee sometimes as we are still in the process of training (he is still a baby) but I got no choice and it really drains me. I hope he learns soon enough that doing this makes mommy really really tired. |
DH and I have our own business - consulting - which, depending on the client can take on a variety of meanings :) Many of my projects can loosely be categorized as corporate marketing communications We also are a merger / acquisition intermediary Have a few other things on the side, investments and recently started a new business that provides practice enabling tools for insurance advisors Having your own business has many advantages. It can, however be exceptionally stressful when you are going through the inevitable rough spots... Remy works hard at the office with us everyday, he complains about the pay tho :D |
