But the stars who lie about their sizes to such extremes are so not helping themselves. They need to feel comfortable about who they are as many of them claim to be, so what if they are a size 10.....? All the lying does is cause even more people to comment about their weight. |
I just finished watching her new show, and what a riot. She is such a personality! Love her.. |

I have always loved Kirsty, thin or heavy. She is such a beauty and has a fabulous personality and is a very funny comedian. Haven't caught her new show tho. It is upsetting to me to watch her make fun of herself. IMO it's a cover up. It's great that your comfortable with yourself but her self worth is zero. If she only had more confidence in herself I am sure she would get better about her weight. I think she needs to find help to like herself. Anyone who can stand up in front of millions of people and make fun of themselves is truly lacking self esteem. I hope she finds it before it's too late. |

Unfortunately, when you enjoy eating, you are kind of thrown into the "loving to work out" mode, or else you gain weight. Balancing both is very hard for some people. I mean everyone has to have an outlet, whether it is smoking, drinking , gambling, sex, food....hell,, now that I mention it ...... it seems like everything on that list is bad for ya! :D Thank god knitting is not on that list, I don't know what I'd do!!;) |
I wish I could knit and crochet....I'm a lefty in a righty world. PS-Just cause you can make fun of yourself doesn't mean you have low self esteem....I'm just sayin'..... |

I want to point out one thing though.... just because more than 1/2 of society is a 12 or over does not mean it's RIGHT. Society has gotten larger as a whole due to our poor eating/working/recreational habits. Granted not EVERYONE who is FAT has that as an excuse. There are legitimate health and even mental disorders that make some people heavier than others. HOWEVER, one of this countries LEADING health care costs is overweight people. So is it ok to be bigger? Is it ok to be FAT even? Sure.... as long as your HEALTH is in check. Jeopardizing your own health and the insurance system in America (thats already beyond messed up) because you enjoy everyday foods that are bad for you and never work out is not fair to yourself or society in general. Don't cut off your nose to spite your face! This goes in reverse for those who are grossly skinny too. Its UNhealthy. Period. Be healthy. Be healthy at a 2, be healthy at a 12, be healthy at a 22, I don't care. As for airbrushing, it's awful. :( I can't imagine why some people (models) would allow it. Then when you meet someone for the first time, is it good for their self esteem to feel they are 2 sizes bigger than the ads they are in and they are a size 1? aaahhhh I'd feel embarrassed! PS - I'm ideally a size 8. I drift to a 10 and even a 12. I get back down to a size 8, but never lower. I'm ok with that. I'm heavy too, weight wise. I carry my weight well and am very muscular and compact... but you'd be shocked if you saw the scale and knew my pants were an 8 and my top was a medium! :) LOL |
