The Millionaire Matchmaker... ugh
 
Does anyone ever watch this show? Until recently I watched and enjoyed this show and even kind of liked the matchmaker lady Patti. Well, last week, I was getting ready for work and decided to watch a newer episode that I hadn't seen yet. A very pretty redheaded woman came in to be interviewed and when Patti told the woman that the guy was 50, she said that was too old for her. Patti decided to tear her a new one and then go off on a rant about how much she HATES redheads because they are all difficult b****es (I'm paraphrasing but this was her general point). As you can see from my avatar, I am a natural redhead. I was so offended by her ignorant comments. Had she made these stereotypical comments based on someone's race or religion, she would have gotten so much he** about it but this comment will go largely unnoticed. She also says in her book that most men don't like redheads... well, my hubby and all the guys I have ever dated would beg to differ. LOL. Sorry, something I just read reminded me of this and I need to rant. :D

I saw the commercial for the one you are talking about and it just ticked me off. Its ok for these 60 year old men to want 19 and 20 year old girls, but when the shoe is on the other foot, it appears that she gets upset. Not to mention the red-head comment! LOL But I won't go there!:D
I found it pretty rude. Patti seems to have one perspective of beauty and breeding, HERS! I do not get to watch it much, and now since that comment, I probably won't watch it at all!:rolleyes:

I have to say I love that show and I think Patti sometimes says things w/o thinking. I didn't like what she said. I think red heads are beautiful, I even wanted to dye my hair red but I don't think it'll suit me. Anyway it's not true what she says...i've heard a lot of guys that love red hair also.

Oh before that episode, I loved the show too and I even really liked Patti. I agree that she says things before thinking but she didn't just tell someone that they had ugly curly hair and it needed to be straightened OR that they dressed like a grandma and needed to find some new clothes. That's being honest, not hurtful. However, she did say that she HATES a group of women based on their haircolor. That's what hate groups do. They hate people based on their skin color, or their religion, ect. She wasn't just saying without speaking.... she obviously had a bad experience with 1 or 2 redheaded women and now in her mind they are all the same and she HATES them. I just think it shows her intelligence.....or lack of.

I watch it sometimes but I didnt see this episode. I watched one last night and she was being a big b**ch to some girl too. Sometimes she gets on my nerves! lol
