he,he..... I work for a builder, but I think he is tired of listening to me:p They have told me what works and what doesn't, but we do mostly commerical property now. I want the wood look, but I want it to be pee friendly. The heated flooring system can work with the laminate/vinyl but it has to be placed in a different bonding agent (I think). My son does have good taste. He wants to do the tile upstairs so I will shut up. I dont think it is porcelian tile in the basement. |
We have tile throughout the house except in the bedrooms. I love my tile my only complaint is how cold it gets in the winter. Heated flooring here in Southern Arizona would be silly. I would do the tile upstairs and add the heat the way you did the basement. IMO it holds up the best! |

This may be a stupid question, but I have a normal size living room, and the only tile that I have seen in living rooms the rooms were huge. Does tile look normal in smaller living rooms? |

Try bamboo! It is beautiful, and a sustainable product. I also think it is reasonably priced. Most people who see it will think it is hardwood, but when you know what it is, you can recognize it as bamboo. |
