What are some of your pet peeves when it comes to websites?
 
Mine personally is music playing with no option to turn it off other than lowering the volume on your laptop/desktop/mac. It is really annoying to me for some reason....maybe it is the web developer in me...besides pages that are all over the places the music bugs me to no end....i can handle non user friendly websites but i can't take it when i click into a website and whatever song or music is playing in the background and searching around can't find a STOP or MUTE button! lol

That annoys me to no end. It's fine that people add music to their websites, but sometimes the music just isn't my cup of tea. If I can't turn it off, I just stay away. Me personally, I am not computer friendly, or are computers not Susi friendly? Either way, I'm slow. Math and telling you why the Spanish Empire was not so bad I can do, but computer/technology stuff not so much. So, I hate it when I finally find my way around a site, then they change everything! (Facebook GRRR!!!) I can't do anything I want to do and they have the nerve to call it "New and Improved." How did they improve it if I can't do anything with it? :(

The music is one, but misspelled words is a BIG one for me!

I don't like when websites have graphics that are flashing all the time either, I think it's really annoying when you are trying to read information!

I don't like when they have paragraphs that just go on and on and on, PLEASE separate them!!

I don't care for sites that have so many colors going on, it's just distracting to me as well!

So there you go, my list of pet peeves!!

YES! Music playing is my #1 pet peeve also. I do websites for fun and for family/friend's business. I have a list of things that drive me crazy with websites but my second one would be a gaudy website with text of every size, every color of the rainbow and every font under the sun. Also, when they have stuck every moving graphic they could find on there. LOL.
Also, the music thing drives me crazy on myspace profiles. Just because you like the song, doesn't mean I like it and want to hear it. But hey, that's just me. LOL

Music yes, it is annoying! and websites that have waaay to much going on, I like sites that are more simple, not to flashy!

Business websites that use Flash. Sure it looks cute or fancy. But....

I can't wait till businesses realize many people nowadays are using their smart phones for browsing the web, sites that use only flash lose my business and I'm sure many others.

My website pet peeves have all been mentioned here, especially the music.....some of it sounds like funeral parlor music.....it's depressing!

MUSIC, especially when it is loud and startles me and makes my dogs bark. Arggg, can't hit the mute button fast enough.

My other pet peeve is pages that are so "full" that they load slowly. I usually quit before they come up.
