Congratulations....she is absolutely perfect...and those little lips....I bet she smells good doesn't she? I always like to get the "sugar" on the back of their neck:)

I hope you thoroughly enjoy every moment with her... and give her big snuggles from all us fellow YT'rs.

I want to say thank you to everyone - people say there's nothing like having a grandchild and now I see what they mean !!

I promise not to post tons of photos (my son has taken 100 videos already for me) but here she is home and in her little outfit that they were so antsy for her to wear ! She's just amazing.....very healthy and very loved....

these pics are the happy parents and little Adair already home :)

Thank you ! My son has always looked pretty much like me - but I think our new baby girl is favoring mom and my DIL is a very beautiful girl ! (my son's pretty good lookin too but like most parents ...I'm very partial :p) Both love children and this was the 3 time trying to conceive so she really is a miracle !

and I wanted to say this thread meant alot to me - it was freakin hilarious but it's so nice of you all to take the time to comment.....I'm on the moon...I really am :)

One thing that is pretty cool - she has both sets of Grandparents and BOTH sets of GREAT Grandparents which I think is really special too...

now I'm on the hunt for a very unique and special gift for them....she already has more clothes than she can wear so I want to find something truly unique....if anyone has ideas I welcome them !

LOL! I had to laugh when I saw what little Adair was wearing (it's adorable) but I see that your son and DIL want equal billing on what she wears!!! How sweet is that? :D

Yea V - your son is a very handsome young man and your DIL is very pretty. That little girl is going to be beautiful! I'm so happy to hear how much they wanted this baby and that it finally happened for them. What a gift from above. I don't have any grandchildren yet but I'm sure she's going to bring so much joy to your life. :2hearts2:

:):):):) Blanket is covered :)but thank you !! I'm doing alot of searching and will find something really special....I want it to be something they will be able to keep always but also a celebration of birth

Rowdy's Mom - it is unusual :)- and no not a family name - my son knew an Adair and always loved it. The other name they liked was 'Preston Dawn'

and Yorkiedaze how right you are ! The good thing is we have Skype and Facebook these days - it's amazing how much time I've already been able to spend with them.....but no -- not the same as being there. We're trying to make plans though :)

V, I know the baby has just arrived, but you were asking for a unique gift. When my daughter was little we had a custom doll house made. It was absolutely beautiful, a little girls dream. It really dressed up her room and as she grew up and she played with it for years to come. Just a suggestion. Congratulations on a beautiful grandaughter. Grandchildren are without a doubt one of life's greatest joys.......we have 16 grandchildren so, we have been blessed with a lot of joy. May God bless your tiny little one through out her life.

That's an awesome idea !!! Remember I said earlier the Blanket was covered ? Well it is FINISHED and the woman who did it put the final touches on it the day she was born !!!

I'm in love with it - This is a gift they can treasure always and I LOVE how it turned out !! Has her little name and DOB embroidered right on the quilt - (green and blue side) the other side is all the little animals....they got it yesterday and I'm waiting on photos !!!

isn't this stunning ???? The woman who made it is going to be WORLD CLASS ! She's done some outstanding quilts - just stunning (course this is my fav) !!!!

Another idea...my grandma took her fake fur jackets and had stuffed teddy bears made for all the grandkids...it was very special and all the kids have something to remember grandma (now that she's passed)

wow what a nice thing to do - all done with love.....she sounds like a wonderful Grandma....I bet you must miss her alot

I should add - the photos of my gift to my son and daughter (in law) is a quilt and I know the woman who made it put alot of work into it.....- I have a feeling my DIL will be hanging it on the wall - it's THAT special !

Got a suggestion for you regarding the unique gift.

There is a local embrodiery store down the street that does unique gifts.
One is a pillow for the crib. Babies don't of course sleep on them, it's just
a decoration but one that can be stored after and kept for a keepsake.
They are beautiful. Name, date of birth, weight etc can be put on them.
Some have lace border's, some are plain. I have purchasd these several
times and the receipent's were delighted. They can also be used on
a rocker in the baby's room.
Just a thought for you V. Once again she's a beauty. Enjoy.

very cool !! The quilt I just posted and had sent to them has her name and DOB - I just didn't know it would be finished so quickly after she was born.....they love it !!!!
