Hi, god bless you....and all those in the midst of this awful catastophy xxx :hug:xxx |
Sending my prayers |
i hope you made it back home safely. my sister is in kihei ..they didn't evacuate and it made me very upset. |
I live in Oahu and I did not go to work today because I could not leave my babies at home without knowing if the house was safe. How did you all do? |
Sending prayers for safety. Hope all is okay. |
Are our friends in Hawaii safe now? |
Yes, the Tsunami passed with little to no strength at all. Prayers must have helped us! But.....eventually there will be a next one. The Tsunami Warning Watch Center did a very good job alerting us hours in advance. |
Many thanks! Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. We are all safe and back to our oceanfront home. It was a scary day, being awakened at 6:a.m. by sirens, then quickly packing some valuables, computers and most importantly my 5 doggies in the car. I decided to evacuate to my daughters house which is an hour away, but up-country. I made it across the pali just shortly before they closed the road; it was weird to see stores & gas stations closed, sewer & water pump stations were shut down too. Anyway, we lucked out! It is a good reminder to have an emergency plan in place, and know ahead of time what you would want to take with you on very short notice. It took me a while to unpack the car and get online to update. Thanks again.... prayers DO work! |
