Ebay?? ( Help! Im confused) Ok i know most things that seem to good to be true usually are. I was looking on ebay for a tablet pc and here is the link the buy it now price is $500 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1 . I contacted the seller and this is what he said: "First I want to tell you that my items are brand new, unopened box all accessories included and also an international warranty. The invoice will come at the same time with the package. My price is the best you could get: 500USD(not euro), including the shipping and insurance taxes. if you can to send the money today i will make an discount. We will pay them because the package will be delivered from Europe. As delivery service we use UPS2days air service or overnight (with insurance and 15 days return policy), because it's the faster. And if you will have a quick payment, we must also have a quick delivery. So that's why we use as a payment method Western Union money transfer, the fastest and also very secure way of sending money. So, if you agree with my terms I'm sure that we can close the deal as soon as possible. Waiting your quick answer right now, " what do you guys think??. ( Tablet pcs brand new are usually at least $1,000!) to good to be true? |
Check her Feedback!! that speaks volumes! |
If I were you .....I would NOT do it !!! Too many uses of the word QUICK - Using Western Union is WAY WRONG ....and that just sounds so bogus that I would actually report that one to Ebay. There are too many deals that sound way more legit than that one - I would rather see someone spend a hundred more than get taken for a ride and that sounds VERY FISHY..... NEVER use Western Union either OK ? You have NO recourse for your money with them - Use SECURE methods to pay ...visa ...pay pal - or anyone who can TRACK payments - You can't with western union - they can use fake id's and just walk away with your money. There are some great scammers on the net and WU is the way they walk away with tons of money |
I have heard the same thing about Western Union. I would not buy it. |
Ebay says on their website that they wish that ebay users DO NOT use transfer of funds through Western Union as they cannot monitor. Id say NO, NO, NO. |
I AGREE! I would not do it. I actually was contaced by a guy with a computer wanting me to do the same thing and when i said why western union.. Why dont i just do it cod..he wouldnt talk to me anymore!!!! I WOULDN'T DO IT!! Kristy and Mason |
The feedback is all him as a buyer, not a seller. That's not good. |
I would not do it either...It just sounds way to fishy! |
thanks guys, i asked him if he accepts paypal and no answer... I would never use anything but paypal. You guys are great!! Thanks again! (ps. my dad changed his mind and decided not to even get a computer, so no tablet pc for us) |
I think feedback is important but Paypal is the most important. Anyone who accepts Paypal I trust because I no I will get my money back from paypal if I dont receive the product or if the product is not what its supposed to be! I am not so crazy about ebay anymore but I LOVE paypal!! |
BTW I spoke to the people who work at western Union and they said I shouldnt ever pay for something using wester union. Basically 5 seconds after you pay for something via western union, the seller can take your money and run and there is no protection for you :( . I wont risk it. |
