Can You Help Identify The Winchmore Hill Dog Killer? On 17 January 2010, a man was reportedly seen dragging a medium sized white dog (we have named him Billy) along Queens Avenue in Winchmore Hill, London, UK. The dog was observed to be absolutely terrified. At some time in the afternoon/evening, the dog was killed. The dog's body was discovered on 18 January. It had been thrown over a fence behind Capitol House. Can you help name the individual who did this? Do you, or anyone you know or have any information? Do you know someone who had a dog, or was in contact with a dog like this that is now missing? Your information will be in confidence, but if it seems relevant, will be passed to the police and RSPCA. This behaviour cannot be condoned through your silence. This 'man' needs to be caught and punished. The unfortunate dog cannot speak for itself and the public must speak instead. If so, please join the Facebook group CAN YOU HELP IDENTIFY THE WINCHMORE HILL DOG KILLER? | Facebook Help us bring this evil person to justice. Please send any information in a private message to Sally Nicholson-Fisher via the above Facebook link. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thankyou |
I hope someone comes forward...how sad... |
I hope this...person...is caught and convicted/sentenced to the fullest extent. RIP Billy. |

Residents hold Winchmore Hill meeting to find dog killer (From Enfield Independent) |
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION... Metropolitan Police Must Investigate the Winchmore Hill Dog Killing Taken from the Enfield Independent Newspaper...it says... 300 sign petition to find brutal Winchmore Hill dog killer 3:09pm Saturday 20th February 2010 DISTRESSED dog lovers braved the icy weather in Enfield Town today to launch a petition calling for action to find a mystery dog killer. The group collected 300 signatures in just three hours after setting up a stand in Silver Street. A poster asked: "Do you know the Winchmore dog killer?" On January 17 at around 6.10pm, a 21-year-old woman saw a man pulling the dog by its lead down Queen's Avenue. The male black and white spaniel crossbreed was later found dead, having been beaten, behind Capitol House, an office block off Green Lanes. The group is determined to find the man responsible, claiming Enfield police are not interested in pursuing the case. A Facebook group set up two weeks ago by dog lover Sally Nicholson-Fisher, 49, has now attracted nearly 1,500 members. Ms Nicholson-Fisher, from Brighton Road, who owns four dogs, said: "I'm suprised by the number of people who have joined our group and remained interested, but something like this really hits you in the gut. "We are all very angry that the police are doing nothing. People feel very, very strongly about this. "We are determined to find this man. If he is violent, who is to say his next victim won't be a child or a partner? "Someone out there must know some information that can lead us to him." Dog day carer Nicola Lowry, 41, from Barnet, who helped to hand out leaflets, added: "I was disgusted when I read about this in the Enfield Independent. People need to be made aware of it. "Someone is obviously protecting this man, but we are definitely confident of finding him. He will be caught." The residents have put together a reward fund to help find the killer, which currently stands at around £200. They also agreed to fund a post-mortem after the RSPCA refused, due to take place next week. Enfield police passed the matter to the RSPCA, they said, because the caller who reported the attack could not provide any contact details for the witness. Anyone with information about this attack is asked to call the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999. |

The donations are not going to the lady that set up the Facebook account...all donations are going to the vet that helped recover the dogs body from where it was beaten to death and left...Sally felt it was the best thing to do in the circumstances so that the money could be put towards the poor dogs Post mortem...any money remaining will be put up as a reward for catching the murderer that did this to the poor dog...:( |

No problem...thankyou for allowing me to post this story in the first place...it's been a great help as I know lots of people in the UK come on to this forum and it will help spread the word and hopefully catch this evil man. Just to answer your question "Is the Enfield Independent really a legitmate newspaper"..yes it is...Enfield is a town north of London,UK...each individual town has it's own local newspaper that reports all news local to the specific area which is why we needed to spread the word as we don't know for sure if this evil man actually lives in Enfield or had travelled to Enfield to murder and dump the poor dogs body. A national newspaper would probably not have run this story unless there was something in it for them unfortunately..they have bigger fish to fry as it were and only publish bigger stories etc which is a shame. I'm sorry if I raised suspicions regarding the donations..you were right to be cautious...Sally had not asked for donations but people felt so strongly that they started to donate anyway, to help with Billys Post mortem and the rest will go towards a reward for help in catching this criminal...once again thankyou for allowing me this thread...will keep you updated on the progress of this case.:) |
