Seriously... who are the Duggars?

Maybe its cause I'm living in an igloo here in Baltimore lately ;) but I have never heard of these people

The Duggars are a family that live in Arkansas.
Jim Bob and Michelle decided to stop using birth control and allow God to decide how many children they would have. They have since had 19. The family has done about four one-hour specials and now they have a weekly show on TLC.

One other note...PETA is not in the animal rescue business..they are into animal rights. While I do not agree with every thing they say (I don't agree with everything the church says either) I do not understand making animals suffer for some of the things we do and like.

:hands:Maybe one day we will live in a world where there are no puppymills or bybs. Lives will be looked at as just that...LIFE, not $$$ or fashion accessories. Then there will be no unwanted babies to euthanize.

So they're basically the prior "Jon & Kate" on steroids ... and using it to market themselves in the media. I'll say no more :rolleyes:

From the above posting, PETA obviously did not get permission from the Duggars, so I don't think that it was a tasteful add. I think that they can get their point accross with their statistics alone, they don't need to bring someone's family business into it. I personally think their show is cute, they're braver than I am! I have three kids (7, 5, and 14 months) and I'm exhausted... I don't know how she does it! I guess it helps when some of your kids are old enough to have kids of their own and can watch the small ones!
