I know !! Lets not forget the landslides in Guatamala, Central America which have killed thousands of people. My brother and his wife are adopting a baby girl and have been waiting a year to get her. They finally got a date of Dec. 12th after waiting all year. They just got word the landslides happened in the town where the baby was and no one knows her whereabouts. My brother and sister-in-law are beside themselves. I Pray that she is found.. |
That is horrible!! I will keep them in my prayers.... keep us posted on this. |
This world just seems to be falling apart peice by peice. It is so sad that all of these things keep happening and turning alot of peoples lives upside down. Just awful! |
I don't know what is going on, but it scares the crap out of me! |

I feel the same way. As a Christian I know I'm supposed to have faith that God is in control. And I do feel that He is, I'm not doubting that. But it is so hard to see these images of devastation all the time, I'll admit that. I don't have the answers. |

Don't beleive we have the answers, but Revelation becomes more clear as each day goes by. Nothing to fear, God is in control of us who believe! A greater day is coming! Barbg Little-Bit, Meggie, Tori, Cassie & Roscoe's Mom |

I agree the world is falling apart. Please let us know if the little girl is found. I think also though in general, people are losing their minds- our town has not had a double murder EVER... (a single murder, accidental, 10 yrs ago, that is all we have had) we just had a 17yr old child and his friend Shot and Kill his parents... not for drugs, nor a robbery, we don't know why. This kid and his friends were leaders in their very expensive private school... one was the Leader for the peer crisis group (he helped kids in a crisis.. and goes on to murder his good friends parents) Our little town doesn't feel safe anymore. I know this is small in comparision... but it really has our town shook up, and me believing the people are losing their minds. |

This happens more than we realize, I believe. I live in a small town with a very low crime rate and 2 years ago this month, a 16 yr old boy that went to church with us (his mom sang in the choir and his dad worked the PA system & sound) killed his parents. The boy's mother was our preacher's sister, so it devastated the whole church. No one knows why he did it. He gave no signs of anything. My son played with this kid every time we went to church -- he is still in jail and awaiting trial. The killing was not just a shot in the head.. it was very brutal and disturbing in the way he killed them. Very very scary to think our children are capable of such acts. |
Yorkielady, these parents were also very involved in the church- I can't remember their titles, but they were very involved... so was their child (both children actually, but only one was involved in the shooting) the pastor made a remark on television that this child was very religious, and a stable child. It is sad that you know how we are feeling in this town.... I guess it isn't for us to understand, just to grieve. |
I agreed I dont knoe what is going on, but is very scary. I just have faith. Fourdez, I hope the the little girl is found safe. Please keep us posted. :( |
I know! The world is a scary place!! With all these earthquakes, hurricanes, & tsunamis happening, it kinda makes you not wanna go outside! And then we know have this stupid bird flu epidemic to worry about! With all this bad stuff happening I sure wish something good would happen to make people feel a little better , like maybe bringing the troops home from Iraq! :) My hubby comes home Saturday!!! Yay!!! That makes me a little happier! :) |
