Okay okay, right it is a matter opinion I guess. I always try to treat people with "respect". Treat others as I myself would like to be treated. If I don't agree with someone and I think it's an important issue, I will say what I think in a nice way. I never said that honesty is rudeness, what I sais was it possible to be honest in a decent way. I can see that there is no light at the end of this tunnel so this is me throwing up my hands and going back to my corner. |

That is what I am referring to...and honestly I did not mean to suggest that you thought being honest was being rude. It is just that I have seen it SO much and the OP seemed to be expounding on that theme; trying to suggest that people are wrong in the way they answer things on YT. And, suggesting that people are being run off of YT. I have to wonder how all of these people survive in this world if they cannot handle comments on an online forum. |

Exactly...and I am probably an older bird than you. :p:D |
There are some, myself included, who respect and admire the "Ultimate YT'ers" you spoke of in your initial post. They are the members who stand their ground and support what they believe is right. They love not just their yorkies, but animals in general. They stay and post even when others are off "taking a break". They educate but they don't placate. The reason you can see their posts to criticize is because they are ALWAYS posting and trying to help another YT member. They've saved countless new Yorkie parents from being conned into paying outrageous prices for sick babies, helped those who had already purchased sick babies by giving advice and sharing their experiences, and helped new owners learn to care for their new furchildren. They've helped with rescue and education. They've bettered the breed both with their own litters and by helping new breeders. They've become a family who supports one another outside of yorkie business. Here's how I see it... You may not like your inlaws, but if you go to Christmas and spill all the things they do that annoy you, then you're spoiling for a fight. I think this thread has shown just how generous the family of "Ultimate YT'ers" really are... ;) |

Okay, I want to [quote] about 50 posts right now :p! So I guess I'll just instead say: you people floor me...everyone is so thoughtful (meaning *full* of *thought*)...intelligent...thought provoking. {not to mention FUNNY --> "you sunk my battleship!" - lol, that commercial!} |

Well I can say that there's been a few times where I felt like never coming back on here again because people were SO rude and inconsiderate for no reason what so ever. I too have probably had a few "rude responses". I always try to answer nicely though and try to think about putting myself in someone elses shoes before I post. I've even wrote replies and then read them and said " nah I will just pass this time ". Yes people are rude, yes they should keep certain things to themselves but again this is the internet, we can't expect ALL people to behave in the real world why would we expect everyone on YT to behave? It's a nice hope but you just have to take the good with the bad and IGNORE some people some times. Besides sometimes not fueling the fire works nice to give them a slap in the face :p:p |

To quote the original posters subject line with a little change.:) My Thoughts after (almost) 6 YEARS of YT ...I'll throw in my 2 cents........ ok - we're in a recession - let's make it .50 cents ...wait ....change that .... it's a bad recession... .25 cents you can't have this many people online without some drama - it's just not gonna happen. While rudeness is just well....RUDE..... sometimes those same 'drama' threads make excellent points they also get the most views......what's up with DAT ? |

I dont think there's ever been a day where i said to myself "i'm never going back to YT". I welcome the differences and opinions that people have...thats how i learn. The way i see it....people offer advice and opinions..you can either 1) take it ..or 2) ignore it and take it for just words on a computer screen. Life would be so boring if everyone agreed with each other. Yes i understand the OP'er is suggesting theres a certain way to say things...but i also think its the way a person perceives things. I guess coming from a huge Italian family where debating is an Olympic Sport...i've learned to sit, listen and take in what i feel is needed. The rest gets thrown out with the trash on Tuesdays. :D |
