Worst night ever.
 

I work nightshift with a small team of collegues, just 2 women and 3 men. Within 2 weeks of joining them one guy started giving me some pretty full on unwanted advances. I made it quite clear I wasn't intrested, he's married to a very nice quiet girl. But that didn't make any difference, still the suggestions and invitations kept comming. Eventually one of the other guys had a word with him, you'd think it would stop there but no, it finally dawned on him No meant No but then the bullying started. I suppose I should of expected it really, but when everything you say is twisted against you life can get pretty devistating. I mean to have it suggested that your life isn't worth living because you dont have a guy or kids can cut pretty deeply.
So after a week of put downs and snide remarks I guess I'd finally had enough, last night I finally collard a manager and reported it. Thankfully two of my collegues are standing by me, the other, this guys best buddy is standing by him even though deep down he knows whos right, he's just going to refuse to make a statement. Says alot really. Tried to put the blame on me if his friend looses his job, as usual blame the victim game. At leaast I break up Monday night so get a couple of weeks to come to terms with it.
Just needed to get this off my chest before I go crazy.

I hope so, serves himself right if he gets the sack. Honestly the jerk has such a big ego he that he could stand there and critasise his own sister for having an affair while at the same time propositioing me for sex. Actually went down the road of accusing me of wanting to sleep with another worker who happened to speak to me. Can only immagine what his poor wife puts up with. At least he wont be there Monday night when I go into work as he's been suspended while they investigate. Roll on x-mas.

You absolutely did the right thing. If he gets the sack good enough for him. I feel sorry for his poor wife,having to put up with a pig like that.

Good for you!! You did the right thing reporting his bad behavior! Hopefully he will learn a lesson from this, woman don't have to put up with a PIG at their place of work!

Last night everyone on line had to be interviewed over what had happened. They decided that as I'd already spocken to him about the sexual harrassment and explained how it had made me feel they would concider it delt with, praised me up for dealing with it so well. The bullying they classed as lack of respect and something else I couldn't remember. Had to awnser loads of questions, but got through it okay. He had to go in too and surprisingly admitted to it though reconed he couldn't remeber saying some of it, of course he couldn't.
With my consent he's been allowed to stay and on nights, though he's lost his stand-in team leader position, has some kind of punishment comming, dont know what, has to write me an apolagy, and a warning which goes on his record. They were worried I might leave and take them to a tribunal. He now knows if it happens again he will loose his job. Hopefully when we return after x-mas he'll have learnt his lesson.
