STRAY dogs are being skewered on hooks and dragged behind boats as live shark bait, The Sun can shockingly reveal.

The cruel practice takes place on French-controlled Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, where Prince William spent two holidays.

A six-month-old labrador pup was recently found ALIVE with a huge double hook through its snout - like the dog above - and another through a leg.

The pup was found in a coastal creek and is thought to have somehow freed itself from a fishing line.

But other dogs and kittens have been chomped up and swallowed by sharks.

The RSPCA plans to petition the French government, demanding an end to the hideous torture.

:eek: I wish now I would have never looked at this it makes me sick just looking at the picture and the thought of these poor animals... People need to have their heads examined. What the heck are they thinking.... Lets string the offenders up the same way they did these cats and dogs and put their butts in the water for shark bait :mad: :( :mad:

OMG! I can't believe what I see. People just don't have a bit of compassion for a helpless creature. I am just out of words for this.How cruel. If I ever knew who this was I would personally tie them to a poll at the feet of an ant pile poor some sugar and syrup and watxh them be eaten slowly with great pleasure. I would just.........AH! :cry: :angry:

how can people do this kind of thing, those poor animals must of been in agony and very scared.
never mind getting it stopped they should go to jail for there doing, id like to put a fishing hook through there nose and drag them behind my car and see how much theylike that.

This is disgusting but apparently has been going on for quite some time. It is not a new practice. It makes me quite sick.

This is probobly one of the most digusting things I have ever heard someone doing to an animal. I dont even understand what stupid moron out there first came up with this cruel idea :mad: ? This is the very reason I try not to watch too much news becasue it depresses the hell out of me and I dont feel like there is anything I can do when it is going on half way around the world but something has to be done!!!!:(

Ok, this is absolutely outrageous, there really aren't words to describe how awful this is. If you know of any way to help with this petition please post. This kind of ignorance and cruelty has got to stop.
