Need Advice/Wisdom About Babies 2 Attachment(s) My 3 month old nephew (just turned 3 mos old) is TEETHING. Is this normal? He has two teeth already. Has anyone experienced this? Here are two pics of him: |
Kristy, he's beautiful. Both of my children had teeth that came in late. I've heard that the earlier they come in, they may not be very secure. Some babies have even been born with teeth already in their mouths. I've heard that they had to have these teeth removed. 3 months seem pretty young but maybe he just has the itchy gums and not actual teeth protruding. |
Thanks Kimberley. He actually has one tooth that's completely in! and one that you can see coming in! Its crazy!!! I feel so sorry for the little guy. He's miserable. We were going to put some baby Orajel on his gums to numb them, but my brother doesn't want to because he doesn't want the baby addicted to that stuff for the next 6 months - he doesn't want him to scream whenever it wears off. |
3 mos is early. Nothing to worry about though. Some babies get them very early on and sometimes their teeth come in later. He is so cute!! |

My first born was born cutting teeth. They didnt break the skin untill much later. but she has beautiful teeth now. babies are all different. |
Both of my babies were 4 months. The earlier they get their teeth, the earlier they lose their baby teeth. Nothing to worry about. He is so handsome! You must be very proud of him. Those pictures make me want to hold him and kiss him. I just love babies. You can wet a clean washcloth and freeze it to help ease the pain. |
My friend's daughter was born June 4, and she has teeth coming in also. All of her children have done everything really early, so this is normal for her. I'm sure it's nothing to be concerned about. Very cute nephew, by the way! |
Kristy, he is sooo cute! And, yeah, 3 months is pretty early. My son didn't get teeth until a few months after that. In terms of the orajel, have them put it on. He will not be addicted and it actually lasts a pretty long time. It is very painful for them when they are teething. Also, like Kimberly said, get him those teething toys. You can put them in the freezer and then just pull another one out when the first one gets warm. |
Oh he's sooooo cute! I just want to snuggle him, he looks so happy! I didn't particularly like orajel with my kids. I used these little teething tablets and they seemed to calm my kids pretty quickly. He's probably too young to even be able to put something in his mouth to chew on? My kids loved a cold wet washcloth. |
Baby Orajel is fine just make sure it is BABY Oragel. You can also use frozen waffles. They just kinda turn into mush as the children teeth on them. If you are worried about waffles you can get natural kind. Mom to 7 |
Kristy, your nephew is adorable. He is so cute. Some babies are different, I guess he started early with his teething. Like someone mentioned some babies are even born with teeth. I will use the baby Orajel if his hurting a lot, I dont thik he will get addicted to it. Also the advise of the washcloth in the freezer is a good one. I dont know if he is too young, But I used some teething pellets by Humphrey's that helps in soothing the pain. I hope the little guy is feeling better. |
Kristy: I haven't used them, but I have heard of the teething tabs. A lot of my "crunchy" mom friends used them and had great results. It is a homeopathic remedy, I believe. Not a bad way to go. |
Could he be any cuter!!!!!! |
What a gorgeous baby. 3 months is early but I have had little ones that have teeth at 2 months and others not till 14 months they are all different, they will just have to start brushing their teeth earlier.Sometimes the first few teeth coming in give them alot of pain and those molars, some do not seem botherd by it they just do alot of chewing and drooling. |
Thanks everyone. Its so strange because some days he is a little terror and others he is an angel. I try to see him as much as possible. I had him yesterday and he didn't make a peep! His gums are all red and look sore. I will have to look into those pellets/tablets to see if they are ok for him since he's so little. Thanks again for the compliments! |
