lol, the same thing happened to me! My maid of honor ordered shower invitations and the date was off. I am laughing with you...been there. At least you've got some time. My maid of honor had sent some out before she realized it and the shower was like a month away. |
Or you can still send it and say "sorry you missed it, but you can send the gifts to:" :D |
I'm freaking out!!!!!!!!! I have 250 of these things ready to go out. in fact, I already sent one to my mother (who doesn't know i'm engaged). she will probably think I already got married!!!! AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH seriously...how did I do that?????? a 2010 sticker??? really?? i need to find some! it's not a big deal for me to order more and make them and get them ready to go out. but what in the CRAP will I do with 250 of the magnets with the WRONG date????? |

That's pretty messed up of the company to not call & see if that's what you want They had to of see that. I would complain to them. |
I agree!! Why didn't they call you to confirm that you wanted that date. They obviously knew it was wrong. I would definatly call them on this one. |
Did you print these yourself? Alot of couples do now to save money. If so the cheap quick fix is a sticker or add a little humor and draw a diagonal line through the date and write 2010 by 2009 in the same color ink as the print. Otherwise start over. If you paid to have them printed I'd go back and see if they will redo them. I know the stress we have a 2010 wedding coming up too. |
I think that if it's not a big deal then you should just reorder the magnets. It's a first impression of you and your husband and I know you want them to think you pay attention to detail. You can put white labels or stickers on the magnets that say 2009 and donate them to a school. Maybe you can put one letter of the alphabet on each label. Kids would love to make words with them. Or...just put a white label on them and donate them to a school and let the little ones decorate their own magnet to hang up their work from school. Just some ideas. :rolleyes: |
