Mac user help!! I created a document in Microsoft Word for Macs ( mailing labels ) and I've tried emailing to another Mac and to a PC and they can't seem to open the file. I've sent it as a PDF and a docx! Does anyone have any idea what we have to do to be able to open and print?:confuse2: |
I have a mac too and its confusing sometimes.. can you open it up.. save it to your desktop, then email it. I have to do this with things sometimes??? I love the Mac but its confusing sometimes:confused::confused: |

I just had to type some documents for my husband and we have a mac but the printer only works with our old PC so I typed them on the mac and emailed them to myself and opened them on my PC and it wouldn't let me open them. So when my dtr came home we figured out we had to save it as a word document to open on the PC and that worked. Don't know if this will work for your situation. I know very little about the mac. |

I typed them on Microsoft Word for Mac users. They open and print fine on my Mac, but they won't up on another family member's Mac or their PC. I've tried as a word doc and PDF. Thanks! Hopefully there is a simple fix and it's probably something stupid that I should already know! :) |
I'm not sure why the .pdf doesn't work, but here's a thread on .doc vs. .docx. You need to save the file with a .doc extension or someone needs to do a conversion. Difference between a .doc and .docx extension? - Yahoo! Answers |

Appreciate the info though! |
If you want to, send a dummy label to me at bildio@comcast.net & I'll see if I can open it. Send in docx & pdf or just docx. |
