Fort hood shooting!!! Please pray for those who lost their lives and their loved ones........I actually live in fort hood, and my kids go to school on post too. I was in lock down for about 6 hours and their middle school which is located about 1/2 mile away from where the shootings ocurred.........I was in the building next to the building where the shootings ocurred at about the time it was going on, iwas there around 1:50 as I take my college classes in the Soldier Education Center which is located next to the RCP(where the shooting ocurred) It's just so scary.............:(:( My kids are so upset, and dont want to go to school tomorrow.........My kids keep saying they dont trust soldier since it was done by a soldier.......it is just sad.............AND HE IS STILL ALIVE!! |
Was horrified when I went on Fox News and saw the headlines. Condolences to friends and families. |
I am praying for everyone and their families. |
I was/am HORRIFIED. A few of us were talking about it on facebook and your name came up - I am SO glad that you posted. and I'm glad that you are OK. Everyone is in my thoughts and prayers. What a terrible, terrible situation. |
Glad you and your kids are OK. This is just absolutely horrible. We are also military. It is bad and hard enough on us that we have to worry about the enemy when they are deployed. Now they have to be watchful of their own soldiers. Wrong, very wrong. |
My heart and prayers go out to you and all those affected by this horror! We live on a military post not far from you and I could only imagine. I have always felt things were safer on post... |
I cannot even find the words to express how shocked and saddened I am about this horrible event. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are going to all those affected. |
My heart is so heavy with sadness for all you and the other family's are going through. I can NOT even imagine the fear you have endured. I am so sorry you and all others on the post or with family's on the post are having to go through this. You and the other families will be in my prayers, that God will give you peace and comfort during this horrible time. |
Thank God your family is safe. My heart and prayers go out for all those who lost loved ones and the injured. |
Prayers for you, your family and everyone else that was affected. Blessings! |
I lived in Killeen (Ft. Hood) for many years. I may not live there now, but this definitely hits very close to home for me. The childs perspective that you have given definitely is touching. Many may have not thought about how confusing it might be for the young children. This is so incredibly sad. One of the most secure, "safest" places in our country has been compromised by one of our "own". We MUST continue to pray for the safety and peace of mind of our soldiers and civilians. WE MUST continue to pray for our enemies as well. yes, this monster is still alive...but this could be to our benefit...MAYBE he will be able to provide information that can help to control further "related" acts. who knows?? This is just heartbreaking all the way around...very confusing. |
i just don't understand things like this...you just can't trust anyone anymore. if a soldier can just up and murder his fellow soldiers, than how can we trust those who are sworn to protect us, it could be the local fireman or police officer next....our kids are taught to trust them with anything and yet this makes it hard to teach them those things anymore. i would say you can't trust anyone ever in these times. and the hardest part is that Muslim people already have a bad reputation and are given a negative stereotype since 9/11, this really doesn't help Americans to feel safe and trusting towards Muslim Americans when things like this keep happening to our innocent people and the gunner is of that nationality. why can't people realize that they do themselves and their people NO justice by hurting/killing others it only makes the stereotype and the situation worse for them and their fellow Muslim people. Now American people will have even harder time with their ever increasing trust issues towards the Muslim American people. this didn't solve the problem of racism and stereotypes, it actually made it worse....why didn't this man realize that?? |
