Ok.....

If 2.0ml is for a dog 40-90lbs.... how much for a 3-6 lb dog?

0.15 ml for 3 lbs and 3.0 ml for 6 lbs??

OK hubby is telling me .1 ml

Using 60lbs as the weight to compare ....since its 40 to 90lbs...he said he went with the middle.

Does .1 ml sound right?

I have no idea, but not sure what it is your giving and that to might make a difference. Id call the vet and ask instead of asking here, just in case.

That doesn't make sense, why would you give less to a 6 pound dog than a 3 pound dog? Did you mean .30? for 6 pound?

.13 is less than .15...

trust me..its .15ml to 3ml for a 3-6 lb dog. I do dosage calculations for newborns

make it into a fractional equation: 2.0ml/40lbs. = ?/6lbs

~~invert and multiply... 6lbs/1 * 2.0ml./40lbs.
~~ the lbs cancel out, then find common multiplier for the 6 and 40 to divide through, which is a 2.... so
~~ 3/1 * 2.0ml./20= ?ml
~~ multiply 3 and 2 and divide through by 20

= 6.0 mil/20=.3 ml for a 6lb dog. If the dog is three lbs. just place the 3lbs in instead of the 6lbs and then redo the math....

I'm a bit confuse. Why would it be 3ml for a 6lb dog when the original post stated 2.0ml is for a dog 40-90lbs?

For 3 lbs:

2ml/40lbs = ?/ 3lbs
= 3 lbs/ 1* 2ml/40lbs
= 0.15 ml
