my dad fell and got hurt
 

and no one would friggin help him. he was walkin in town going to the
lawyers office to get some papers signed and tripped over a wire hanging out to the side walk from a restaurant.. some guy was passing and dad said i just fell can u help me, and the guy couldnt give a s**t . so he managed to get
up and go into the store near by, a pharmacy and asked the girl to call the
cops and the girl told him to walk in the back and ask the pharmacist. so he went back there, hurt as he was and told him to call the cops and he waited
like 4 min and the pharmacist stilldidnt do it.. so the girl gave the phone to
my dad.. they told him they didnt know the number omg!!! a$$ hole.. 911.
so ps... dad called himself and ambulance came and took him to the hospital.
broken ribs.... when iheard this just about an ahour ago, i called the drugstore, the girl answered, isaid was there an old guy in that just fell and
asked u to call the cops? she said yes. i said so why the f--k didnt you call for him you a$$hole. i was sooo pissed off. she said who is this, i said , none
of your business really loud.. and hung up... dads home now.. very very sore. poor guy couldnt even talk... some people are such morons.
i could kick so butt right now.

OMG Gina what the hell! A pharmasist too. There not morons their
ignorant, rude selfish idiots! I can't believe someone did not help
an elderly person when in need. I am so ashamed of what our
society has become. Makes me sick.

This makes me sick....

I will never forget when I was a child a woman in NYC was stabbed to death in front of a hugh crowd and no one did a thing to stop it...she died.

I truly believe this is one of the reasons I got involved with rescue...I got very angry with everyone saying they feel bad but they didn't do anything..or they can't bother to look at awful pictures..they would rather not know how animals are suffering everyday. Sorry I got on my soapbox.

Oh my gosh! Some people just forget how to be humans I swear! :( I'm glad to hear your father is ok, but ouch, he is going to be sore for awhile! I would call the store back and tell them that he was hurt and had broken ribs.. make them feel bad. I cannot some people!

OMG Gina that's horrendous!! I don't understand people who can walk away when they see stuff like that. :( They've got it coming...that's for sure!!! I'm so sorry and prayers for your dad for a speedy recovery!

I can't believe this happened. Please don't go to that pharmacy...I will see you on News 12. I am stunned that no one would help him. Poor thing he must have been so freightened and in so much pain. Glad to hear he is home now safe and sound. As for those uncaring individuals. They will get theirs someday. Believe it!!!

Hoping your dad gets to feeling better soon but it will take a while for his ribs to heal and is very painful, some people make me sick no care for anyone :mad:

That is terrible. What is wrong with people! I hope your Dad feels better soon and I would send a letter to the corporate office of that drugstore, there is no reason you r Dad shouldn't have been helped immediately.

I'm so sorry your dad had to go thru such an awful ordeal. People are so inhumane nowadays , its ridiculous.

One time my husband and I were driving thru town and i looked over towards the sidewalk and saw an old man fall...i made my husband stop the car and we got out . He was bleeding terribly from his head. Thank god i keep gloves and medical supplies in the back of my car. I stayed with him til the ambulance arrived. The sad thing is....noone else cared enough to stop to see if everything was alright.

If I were you I would do more then just yell at that girl. Go to your local news, they always have those "On your Side " reporters, and tell them the story and point out the drugstore where it happened on the news. The only way to hurt businesses like that is to hit them in the pocket!!!

I remember when I was in high school, there was a girl in a wheelchair and her chair was stuck in the doorway, she couldn't get in. I kid you not, maybe 50 people walked by her and did NOTHING. By the time I reached the door, I finally asked "Do you need help?" and gave her a simple push through the door. Bull****!!!

Oh my Lord!

I cannot believe that. I come from a small town in MS, where people will do anything to help someone. A fall like that would have had 2 or more people helping him up and 5 to 10 people on cell phones calling an ambulance. (Seriously, my husband is a sheriff's deputy and my best friend is a 911 dispatcher, so I know an accident gets tons of calls for help.)

People may be really ignorant and backwards around here sometimes, but they believe that what goes around comes around.

Very sad. I hope your dad is okay. If it was my dad I would definately get a hold of someone and give that pharmacy negative publicity! It is horrible. I have had elderly people fall, once while and work and twice outside of where I worked. At first nobody did anythig. At the time I had no clue what to do! But I did what I could and then twice a paramedic was walking by thankgoodness. But all the other people just stared! :( it's very sad. People almost seem like they don't want to be bothered.

dad is very very sore today.. no broken ribs thank god. just in alot of pain,
more so today.. geez, i was so pissed off yesterday on the phone with that girl that the whole office heard me. my boss thought i was talking to my
b/f lol... she told me to tone it down. I think if i would of went to that
drug store, there would of been blood shed and i would of been in jail. kidding.
im really all talk no action, lol thats why i was able to scream and yell over the phone. I think if my dad was really bad , i would of been down there, but
he is ok, alive, ya know what i mean? so those people arent worth it..
they will have there day..

Gina! I am so sorry I am just seeing this post about your father! What a terrible thing. What the he* * is wrong with people??? I would have been as angry as you are.

Gina - I am so sorry to hear about your father. I just can't believe that the human race has become so cold hearted they cannot reach out to help another. God help them if they are every in need. And shame on that pharmacy as well!!!!

I'm so sorry your Dad fell! I cannot believe no one would help him. My gosh...how can one person not want to reach out to someone that is hurt! The drugstore and pharmacy was a complete joke! This is just outrageous. You should write an editorial to the newspaper and also call the manager of that drugstore. It's ridiculous that anyone should have to be taught how to have a heart, but obviously, this place needs to give a class on human kindness. I hope your Dad is much better by now!

Glad your dad's on the mend Gina. That was awful what he went through.
I can't believe a pharmacy gave him no help! That really blows my mind.
I would boycott that store and pass the word. I also would walk in there
and talk to the pharmacist who was there that day. Tell him who you
are and what the hell was he thinking not coming to the aid of an
elderly man who fell and needed medical assistance. Keep your cool and
make him feel like the low life he seems to be.

well my sil called there after i did and asked for the mgr. as he got on the phone the first thing he said was , i dont want any cursing lol.. so she said to him, all i want is an explanation of what happend.. he proceeded to tell her that they did nothing wrong.. how can you argue with morons,, all i know is
what goes around comes around.. thats ok.. their day will come.. all of them.

That is just awful not to know WHAT NUMBER TO CALL even I know to call 911 and I live in the UK and it is 999 here, but I know your emergency number, so WHY DIDN'T THEY ?

at that time, they were asking my father what the phone number was,
and he was thinking about it,, can u imagine that? unreal..
he was thinking about the real number when i would of just called 911 of
course.. mind you guys,, the police station is directly across the street from where this happened..

Unfortunately, you hear of this happening more and more. People have become less sensitive or caring toward other human beings (& animals too).
Less manners too.
