LOST anyone? (the show) Lost is my favorite show EVER!!!! Anyone watch it? I so hate the anticpation for the next show. I was kinda mad they didnt reveal much about that weird guy from the hatch. Any ideas there? |
Oh, YES I am also a LOST fan! The guy in the hatch doesn't seem to have anything to do with the "Others" but I have yet to figure out exactly what his role is in the scheme of things. This is the first show that I have watched in a long time that has kept me in total suspense and I love it! |
I used to watch Lost when it first started. But they show you soooo little with each episode. I would be so anticipating something big, and then nothing. I got frustrated with it and now just have my husband fill me in on what's happening. I have a short attention span LOL! |
I absolutely love this show too. Last night's episode really aggrivated me though, it didn't go anywhere. But I'm starting to think that the show has been that way from the beginning. I watched the entire first season on DVD so I was able to watch the episodes back to back. Now that they are spread out, they seem to go a lot slower. I still like the show though. And OMG...Swayer is soooooooo cute!!!!!! :D |
I wonder how long the weird guy in the hatch was in there, because he new jack when jack was treating that injured woman, who happens to be the woman that he (jack) was going to marry, but didn't (they showed it in the 1st season. So what is that time span and does it coorespond with how long we think he (weird guy) has been in the hatch? (I think there are real issues with "time" on that island). Remember weird guy was going to run a race around the world and he may have been on some destination to do that when he ended up on the island. But more interestingly, there apparently is some kind of air born pathogen that kills people or at least gives them a disease, because wierd guy eluded to it and so did the french lady in the 1st season. She said her whole crew had died from it. So very interesting. |
I have not read this thread because I have it on my TIVO and I don't want to spoil the episode, but I will respond tomorrow. Lost is my favorite show of all time. I think it is going to give me an ulcer though!! I am always so stressed out when I watch it! |

Yes it was, because remember during a party, rehersal dinner or something, she was toasting him about how she was going to be able to "dance" at her wedding because of Jack and how he "fixed" her. (although, I don't think they are using the same actress as last season to protray her). I agree I think that weird guy has been on the island longer than the "time span" since Jack last saw him, but it's so hard to tell. I know that there is a "four" year period going on with everyone on the island (based on all their sideline stories that they show, but I don't know how much time from Jack's girlfriend's injury to the "wedding" took place.) But based on the music - mama and the papa's and the "computer" weird guy has been in there since the 70's? |
Plus, has anyone heard of the candy bar that what's her name ate and took from weird guys supply. I forget the name of the cany bar, because I was going to look it up on the internet and see when the last time it was in production. I think that is a clue! |

SO the girl ok wait.. let me try to fig this out... at the time of the accident of the girl she was with another person .. she was dating another person .. so after she got better she got togehter w/ jack... NO CANT BE he was in there that long .. B/C remember jack and weird guy were talking ... that couldnt have been in the 70s JACK ISNT THAT OLD LOL |
Another thing, weird guy could have been there for 4 -5 years and found the hatch already stocked and set up from other people that have been there before him, but died due to the mysterious disease. No, No, I tell you! I am not obsessed! ;) |

The number 108 is what all of the lottery ticket numbers equal. If you can catch it, down in the hatch, there is a picture painted on the wall that is always in the background. It looks like a painting of the french lady and then there's a circle with the number 108 in it. I heard on the radio yesterday that the numbers are every where. Also, Jack's future gf that he cured, well the guy that was in the accident that died, died at 8:15! That was the number of their flight, flight 815. Also, one scene in an airport there are soccer players and all their numbers were the same as the lottery ticket numbers. This is all so interesting!!! Ladylavender you have some great theories. I think I'll be asking you for more clues after every episode!! |
yes ur rite about the 815 b/c werid guy kept repeating it when the girl and lock told em their flight # .... i didnt pay attention to the PICTURE.. ugh .. i will be bad if i was called in for a LINE UP ... not that i would want to be called in for one lol :p |

Ok, found out the name of the candy is Apollo Candy. It is out of production, but I can't find out dates it was in production and dates it terminated. So that's a dead end, for me anyway. |

What do you think about the possibility that the weird guy is some kind of government agent/employee who took over for Hurley's roommate at the mental institution...the one who kept repeating the numbers over and over...like maybe having to remember to put the numbers in or everything was destroyed broke his mind?? Remember the weird guy asked Locke "are you him??" Him who?? maybe his replacement? And when Locke couldn't answer the riddle he knew Locke wasn't "him" Also did you notice that the stuffed animal Michael gave Walter when he was saying good bye, when walt was little, was a white bear? This show is my addiction! LOL I love it. I think Sawyer and Sayid are both HOT! Kathy |
