Lisa! Lisa: I just want say that you went to a lot of time to post your thread and to reach out to other YT members. I want to apologize for my part in getting your thread closed. I feel awful. That thread was yours and I got caught up in making it into something else. Won't happen again! |

Jerry your comments were priceless..hehe...How's Chewy? Lisa is an awesome lady and EVERYONE says things that are bound to offend at least ONE person. NO WORRIES..LET'S ALL HAVE SOME MARTINI'S AND PARTY. |
I wanted to respond but it got closed too quickly. You were both baited. Old stuff needs to be let go. Don't sweat it Lisa or Gerry. Your hearts are in the right spot... |
thanks for the support, girls. I hope Lisa feels the same way! |
Gerry: I don't think it was your post that got the thread closed even though it is a shame that some may never see it because it will be buried quickly. If you go back to the very original thread . . . I was baited in that thread and it got the best of me. In my apology thread, you were baited and it got the best of you. I didn't take your post negatively at all -- I knew what you meant. Thanks to those you have accepted my apology. Here's the link to my apology. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18519 Lisa |
Lisa: You've made me feel much better! Thanks. |

How's chewy? We want to see some pics soon. |
Yes, yes..Chewy is good and about to get his berries chopped in 2 weeks! Thanks for asking ladies! I have to go out now but I will post pics later today. He's getting naughtier by the day! |
I didn't want to see this get buried . . . since the apology thread was closed, I wanted to bump this so those who haven't seen my apology will see my link and read it if they haven't already done so. Lisa |
No apology needed for me, but thanks anyway!! ;) BTW ... We have friends who have two big houseboats ... live on one and one for friends ... they were both docked in Slidell. When Katrina hit, the one they called home, fortunately, was at the shipyard safe & sound inside having some hull work done!! Unfortunately, the other one was still there [briefly] and Patrick found some pictures online of the aftermath in Slidell ... they were able to identify their boat on land [very little damage!] and drove down & arranged to move it near .... ta daaaa .... Houma!! Then along came Rita!! :) Haven't heard if Rita did damage, but they are just sweet people that kinda "roll with the punches"!! Their "home" boat will be moved to the Mississippi coast! They travel like we do so are seldom home ... just hope they don't "forget" where they left it!! Hopefully, we will get to go down & visit them sometime next summer and if we do, maybe we can finally meet and have a "mini" Yorkie meetup?! |
Wow! What a small world! I would LOVE to have a meetup if the opportunity arises! Here are some pics I took in Houma - Chauvin to be exact - 5 days after Rita passed. Ed's mom lost her home. In the images, her house is the one after the pirogue pic. The couple was looking for their cat! We had to take a pirogue to the back of the street. I would have to guess that the water was about 5 feet deep and had gone down at least a foot. BTW -- Ed's mom's house -- there is a five foot fence in the front yard that you cannot see! http://lisanealphotography.com/rita |
lisa: those pictures are AMAZING. look at all the damage, its unbelieveable! |
Oh, what a horrible mess! I can't even imagine trying to clean up that mess. After the water receeds there is all that muddy muck everywhere. I guess everything gets bulldozed. Eeeew! Imagine the smell, too. Mold and mildew..... Devastating. |
