Baby talk. Am I the only one.... Who cant understand it? I think its cute that people use baby talk on here when speaking for/as thier yorkies but for some reason it takes me forever to figure out what it says if I can even figure it out at all. Maybe because I have no children  I need a translator :D |
I hate to say it, but it annoys the hell out of me! If I click onto one of those threads and start to try to decipher, I get a headache! |

I honestly dont even try. I am simply too impatient and it frustrates me that I can figure it out. BUt it really is cute. I am not saying any of this to offend anyone. Just venting because I am too braindead to figure out what they are saying :p |
It would probably sound pretty normal if you had children. Figuring what my kids are saying sometimes drives me nuts. I can't always understand them. I have no problem with the puppy talk on here. I think most everyone does a great job sounding like their dogs, especially Elizabeth and Lexi. |
It takes me a long time to read it too. Elizabeth is really funny at it. I remember when my son was just starting to talk. I never understood what he was saying! My daughter had to translate!! |
i think its adorable. i love the puppy talk. i think especially elizabeth and kim are good at it. |
I just love it when they talk how their furbabies would if they could talk. I get a kick out of listening to my niece talk. The things she come out with is so funny! My favorite right now is,,,,, "yes I'm am going to go." or "don't leave about me." And just a little while a go we were watching TV and she seen corn on the cob and she said "I want some corn on the pop." If it were not for baby talk we wouldn't have our nick names and other cute words we still use up to this day. I would be auntie Monica and not awntie Moca. Now what fun is that? |
My friends 4 year old daughter calls me shanananananana. Its pretty cute. She can never say my name with only one 'an' |
Personally you would never catch me doing the baby talk thing in regard to my dog, but to each their own. I am neither against it nor do I support it. Most generally I just avoid it because it gives me a head ache too. I appreciate that the members that generally do this lead off the topic so I know not to click into the thread at all. No offense intended by me either most of my kids are in their 20's and it's just a time I don't wish to repeat besides with my grandchildren. |
To tell the truth I avoid those posts. :( I have had 7 children and I still can't understand the posts most of the time. :p I guess it can seem cute but I would much rather zoom through the readable posts since there is always so much to catch up on :animal36 |
It's just one more expression from people who care as much about their Yorkies as I do mine. No, I wouldn't do it and I usually read over those posts. But YT wouldn't be the same to me without them. |
I think it's hysterically funny!! :) When I try to figure out what Toto's thinking ... in my mind I hear a childlike voice and that's the way it sounds!! :p I love hearing our two old granddaughter talk ... Abbi is such a busy little thing and just seems to never have enough time. She is now "creating" a sort of "shorthand" with her speech!! When she wants to do something way beyond her skill, she is constantly being told "I can do that" ... so she has one word to sum up these 4 ... "Idodat"!! It's soooo funny to hear her say it! So, yes, baby talk is funny!! ;) |
Hawwie, Twace, Weegi, Bwasco....What da heck are dey talkin' about???? Wuv, Wexy :p |
